Discipline is the foundation of every great cricketer. At our academy, we do not just train players, we build athletes who respect the game, their teammates, and the gear they play with.

Our players learn the importance of teamwork and responsibility by helping with tasks like moving the hand roller. These activities build character and a sense of ownership.

The boundary ropes are coiled and stored properly by the players at the end of the season. This simple act teaches discipline and respect for the tools of the trade.

About Building Character Beyond the Crease

We do not just ask players to pick up a bat. At our Thergaon and Chinchwad facilities, every session involves ground maintenance, from rolling the pitch to storing boundary ropes. It sounds simple, but it teaches them that the game is bigger than any single player, and true respect for cricket starts with taking care of the very ground you stand on.

Cricket is not just about technique. You can have the perfect grip and the right stance, but without the right mindset, you will not survive the five-day grind of Test cricket. We build that mindset at Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy. Our players learn that discipline starts before they even reach the nets. When they help with ground maintenance or store equipment properly, they are learning ownership. They understand that the academy, the pitch, and the gear belong to everyone. This is what we call 'vijigishu vrutti', or the fighting spirit, and it is mandatory for every trainee in Pune. Our parents appreciate this approach because it creates well-rounded individuals who understand that success in sport requires hard work, patience, and humility. Whether you are training at Thergaon or Chinchwad, the expectations remain the same. We focus on physical conditioning through power yoga and strength sessions, but we never let the mental side of the game slide. If you want to train where character is treated with as much importance as technique, come talk to us.

My academy is not just about cricket drills. It is about building a sense of ownership, responsibility, and discipline that stays with a player for life. If you are looking for a place where we value the 'vijigishu vrutti' as much as the skill, you are in the right place.
