I treat every studio set like a blank canvas. Whether we are exploring abstract geometry with the human form or building a high-fashion narrative, the goal is always to create imagery that stops the scroll.

Creative direction for the footwear brand Disobedience. The model is captured mid-stride in a vintage Loewe leather look, showcasing the red boots in a dynamic, editorial style.

A full look from the Disobedience shoot, featuring an animal print dress and brown loafers. The styling is chic and confident, aimed at a fashion-forward audience.

A close-up beauty shot from the Disobedience campaign. The bold gold jewelry and direct gaze of the model add to the fierce, high-fashion mood.

A conceptual pose that highlights the unique wooden heel of the boots. The styling with the feathered skirt adds texture and a touch of avant-garde flair.

A detail shot focusing on the custom-embellished denim boots from Disobedience. This type of shot is crucial for a product-focused editorial.

A dramatic, abstract pose in black and white. This image for Disobedience focuses on form, line, and silhouette, pushing the boundaries of a conventional footwear campaign.

A collage from the 'Shapes' series I directed for Saaksha & Kinni's swimwear edit. Inspired by my own pole practice, we explored abstract forms and geometry using the human body.

A single, powerful yoga pose. This black and white series was about celebrating the strength, flexibility, and beauty of the human body in motion.

A close-up on a deep forward bend, creating a beautiful abstract shape. The focus is purely on the lines and curves of the body.

Another pose from the 'Shapes' series, showcasing a full-body stretch. The minimalist studio setting keeps the focus entirely on the model's form.

About Studio & Editorial Concepts

A successful studio editorial isn't just about the clothes. It is about the chemistry between the model, the lighting, and the art direction on set. When I work on these campaigns, I focus on the 'why'—why a specific drape or the texture of a shoe matters in the frame. My process includes everything from casting the right talent to sourcing vintage props that ground the shot in a specific era or mood, ensuring the final asset feels like a standalone scene rather than just another product photo.

Building a Visual Narrative

When I approach an editorial or studio campaign, I don't just look for a pretty aesthetic. I look for the story. My work for brands like Disobedience and the 'Shapes' series for Saaksha & Kinni shows that the studio environment is where you have the most control to shape that narrative.

My Creative Process

  • Concept Development: Every campaign starts with a moodboard. We define the color palette, the lighting mood, and the emotional resonance of the shoot. If we are shooting footwear, we highlight the architectural details; if we are shooting swimwear, we focus on lines, form, and movement.
  • Casting and Styling: I don't just pull clothes. I build characters. Whether it is sourcing vintage accessories to add depth or choosing a model whose expression brings the right tension to the frame, every decision is intentional.
  • Art Direction on Set: I manage the entire visual journey. This includes selecting props, directing the photographer on angles, and supervising the HMU (Hair and Makeup) team to ensure the final look is cohesive.

Why Strategic Art Direction Matters

In a digital-first world, your brand imagery needs to work harder. My approach to editorial photography is to create assets that are distinct enough to live in a magazine, yet sharp enough to convert on social media. I specialize in blending avant-garde styling with commercial viability, ensuring you get images that are as functional as they are beautiful. Whether we are working with minimal studio backgrounds or elaborate set designs, I ensure the focus remains on the product and the story we are telling about it.
