Signature Residences: The Bammi Home

byUntitled DesignTakes projects across Delhi NCRView full gallery

A 22,970 sq. ft. sanctuary designed for four generations, where Art Deco geometry meets a global stone palette and one-of-a-kind Indian craftsmanship.

The entrance canopy of the Bammi Residence, with its intricate geometric design, filters sunlight to create a dynamic play of light and shadow. This architectural statement sets the stage for a home where every detail is considered, blending structural form with natural elements to craft a unique sense of arrival.

The main door of the Bammi Residence is crafted from textured travertine with custom cast brass handles. This choice was inspired by the building's facade, creating a seamless transition from exterior to interior. The substantial, material-rich entrance emphasizes our commitment to bespoke details and sustainable luxury.

An alternate view of the Bammi Residence entrance, showcasing the interplay between the strong architectural lines of the canopy, the lush landscaping, and the tranquil water feature. This composition of wood, stone, water, and greenery establishes the home's core theme of harmony between built form and nature.

The entrance lobby of the Bammi Residence overlooks a serene courtyard, bathing the space in natural light. The area features a meticulously detailed staircase, a textured stone wall, and custom furniture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that blends contemporary design with traditional elements.

A striking 'Grasshopper' light installation by Klove Studio serves as a dramatic focal point in the entrance lobby's stairwell. Its organic, sculptural form contrasts with the clean lines of the architecture, drawing the eye upwards and highlighting the verticality of the space.

Natural light streams into the entrance lobby, illuminating the rich textures of the stone wall and the fine details of the brass and wood staircase. This view captures the home's open and airy feel, a key element of our design philosophy.

The staircase in the lobby is a masterpiece of mixed materials, featuring brass mesh, wood veneer, and solid brass members. This intricate design, set against a textured stone wall by Odyssey, showcases our dedication to detailed craftsmanship and material exploration.

About this collection

Designing a home of this scale requires more than a blueprint; it demands a synchronization of architectural intent and artisanal detail. When we approach projects like the Bammi residence, our focus shifts to how light navigates the space and how materials, such as the travertine of the facade, transition seamlessly indoors. We invite you to discuss how we can bring this level of bespoke detailing to your own residence.

The Bammi Residence serves as an example of our philosophy regarding contextual design. Spanning 22,970 square feet, the project was a study in balancing the needs of four generations while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic identity. Our role was not just to furnish, but to curate a narrative that began with the architectural skeleton provided by Abhimanyu Dalal. We sourced and integrated masterpieces that anchored the spaces, from the bespoke furniture line produced by our in-house brand, Furgonomics, to the site-specific light installations.

The interplay of materials is central to our work here. We chose textured travertine to mirror the facade, ensuring a dialogue between the exterior and interior. When we integrate art, as seen with the Alex Davis sculpture or the antique wooden horse from Kutch, we position it as a functional element that adds soul to the room. Every stone, from the Indian granite to the global marbles, was selected to age gracefully and reflect the residents’ personalities. Whether it is the dramatic stairwell featuring a Klove light fixture or the serene courtyard that introduces light and air into the basement, every decision was made to ensure the home functions as both a private sanctuary and a space for communal living. We treat interior design as an exercise in storytelling, where the goal is to transform a structure into a home that resonates with the history and aspirations of its inhabitants.
