About Bespoke Furniture & Product Design
How We Approach Design
I see every piece as more than just furniture - it's a part of someone's everyday story. My designs mix old-school craft with new ideas, focusing on both looks and how things feel in your space. With Furgonomics, I try to balance sustainable luxury with Indian roots, letting each project flow between function, form, and a bit of soul.
What We Make
- Tables (from breakfast counters in marble or aventurine, to cool coffee tables)
- Custom home furniture like sofas, cane-woven chairs, and comfy lounge seating
- Sideboards and consoles showing off marquetry or unique metal details
- Beds with options like leather, cane, or scalloped headboards
- Bars and cabinetry with touches of brass or hidden storage
Sometimes, things get a little bold - like placing a silver-finished sofa next to an ultra-modern armchair. Not every combo works, but I enjoy experimenting.
Bringing Indian Craft to Life
I work directly with artisans to keep Indian craft furniture traditions alive. Sometimes it's Rajasthan koftgiri (silver inlay), sometimes brass thathera work, or jag tarkashi (wire inlay from Bengal). I also use pinjirakari (lattice work) for those light-filled, patterned moments.
Beyond Just Furniture
My designs often stretch into sculptural and architectural art:
- Staircases that set the vibe - from blackened steel spirals to fluted wood
- Doors and partitions that look like art, sometimes blending into walls
- Custom lighting, from marble installations to dramatic pieces that make you stop and stare
If you’re into contemporary bespoke interiors with a focus on real craft and materials, I think you’ll vibe with my work.

My Story
We’re Amrita and Joya, running Untitled Design for over 25 years now, and trust us, it’s been a wild ride. Our thing? Spaces with a soul, not just pretty corners. From Shantiniketan’s calm to Bengal’s buzzing workshops, we’re hooked on Indian crafts—papier-mâché, Koftgiri, old Kerala doors, you name it. Awards are nice, but real joy comes from swapping ideas with clients and artists, and weaving stories into every project. Ready for the next chapter, always.
My Work
What We Do - Architecture, interior design, bespoke furniture curation, and art integration for homes and commercial spaces.
Design with a Story - Every project is built around contextual interior design—spaces that reflect memory, identity, and meaning.
Indian Crafts, Modern Twist - We work with artisans to blend Gond, Kalamkari, Koftgiri and more into contemporary spaces.
Sustainable Indian Architecture - We use local materials and eco-friendly choices, always thinking about heritage and the planet.
Collaborative Process - Best ideas come from working together—clients, artists, architects, everyone’s voice matters.
Art That Breathes - Art isn’t just decor. We make it part of the structure, so it lives and grows in the space.
