Spaces that tell a story. We blend traditional Indian crafts with modern architectural lines to create homes that are as meaningful as they are functional.
This double-height living and dining area in the Daga residence is defined by its grand scale and the integration of art. A single, continuous metal line sculpture by artist Ayesha Singh traverses the walls, connecting different planes and referencing Delhi's layered architectural history. The design balances raw concrete textures with the warmth of wood and the luxury of a monolithic marble dining table, creating a space that is both monumental and intimate.
The entrance to the Bammi Residence is designed as a dramatic transition from the urban exterior to a serene interior. The geometric, slatted canopy filters natural light, creating dynamic patterns of light and shadow on the steps and water body below. This architectural feature sets a tone of thoughtful design and a deep connection to natural elements, which is a hallmark of our work.
For the Bammi Residence's basement dining room, we transformed a space without natural light into an opulent, jewel-box-like chamber. The walls and ceiling are enveloped in intricate Pinjirakari-inspired lattice work, a traditional craft that creates a warm, filtered glow. The bespoke dining table and curated art pieces complete this immersive and atmospheric dining experience.
The living room at the Baid Residence is a study in luxurious scale and artistic expression. A custom Bocci light installation cascades from a gold-leafed ceiling, illuminating a space filled with curated furniture and art, including Paresh Maity's work. Large windows frame views of the adjacent forest, seamlessly blending the opulent interior with the natural world outside.
We believe staircases should be sculptural moments within a home. This spiral staircase at the Urban Hearth residence is crafted from matte black metal and polished wood, rising through a double-height void. Its form is a precise geometric statement that feels both modern and intuitive, anchoring the space while allowing light and air to flow freely.
At the entrance of The 42 residence in Kolkata, we designed this majestic water feature to be the home's focal point. Crafted from massive, naturally textured stone slabs, it is adorned with brass and silver ‘Khadau’ (traditional Indian footwear) and etched Pali script, symbolizing blessings and a serene welcome. The sound and sight of water create a tranquil threshold.
This master bedroom in our Kolkata project was designed as a serene retreat with panoramic views of the Victoria Memorial. Natural light floods the space, highlighting the etched basalt stone headboard and a curated selection of art. The material palette of stone, wood, and soft textiles creates a calm, tactile environment for rest and reflection.
For The Restaurant at Hibiscus, we created a vibrant and immersive dining environment. The design features a bold teal color palette, contrasted with the warmth of leather upholstery and brass accents. The geometric paneling on the wall adds a layer of modern texture, demonstrating our approach to creating unique and memorable commercial and hospitality spaces.
This is a glimpse into the Rivaayat Residence, a home we designed to be shaped by heritage and rooted in craft. The space accommodates three generations, blending modern architectural lines with traditional Indian arts like Kalamkari ceilings and Gond paintings. Every corner is designed to tell a story, reflecting our philosophy of creating deeply personal and contextual homes.
We are deeply honored to have been named Interior Designer of the Year. This recognition is a testament to our firm's 25-year journey in creating craft-driven, sustainable, and narrative-rich design. It reflects the dedication of our entire team and the trust of our clients, who allow us to tell their stories through space.
About Featured
We do not treat art as an accessory to be added at the end. Instead, we work with skilled craftspeople to integrate elements like metal sculptures, painted ceilings, and stone carvings directly into the structure of your home, ensuring the space feels like a cohesive, lived narrative rather than a collection of decor.
At Untitled Design, our approach centers on contextual interior design. We believe a home should reflect its inhabitants, which is why our process begins with deep listening. Whether it is a large bungalow in Gurugram or a city apartment in Kolkata, we focus on blending traditional Indian techniques with modern functionality. Our material palette is raw and honest—think exposed concrete, natural stone, and wood—balanced by thoughtful lighting and spatial planning. We handle the entire journey, from initial floor plans and technical drawings to final styling, ensuring that every light fixture, surface, and corner serves a clear purpose. Our team manages projects across India, providing full-service design, construction, and site supervision. If you are looking for an environment that feels grounded, authentic, and uniquely yours, we are ready to build that story with you.
