This collection highlights the discipline and physical readiness I teach at my Nagarbhavi and Chandra Layout shalas. These images capture the blend of advanced asana and competition training that defines my Yogi-Warrior approach.

This is the Eka Hasta Padma Mayurasana, or one handed peacock pose with legs in lotus position. It is a highly advanced arm balance that requires immense core strength, balance, and focus, demonstrated here during a yogasana competition.

I am honored to have secured a Bronze medal for Karnataka at the 5th Official Senior National Yogasana Championship. This achievement is a testament to the discipline and dedication I bring to both my personal practice and my coaching.

My training incorporates traditional tools like the Gada, or club, to build functional, full body strength. This practice complements yoga by developing the power and stability needed for advanced postures and overall physical readiness.

Here I am holding a standing split, or Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. This posture demonstrates advanced flexibility and balance, key components we develop in my classes.

This sequence showcases a variety of advanced asanas, from the challenging Tittibhasana (Firefly Pose) to standing splits and arm balances. It provides a glimpse into the dynamic and demanding nature of my practice.

This is a partner variation of Koundinyasana, an advanced twisting arm balance. Practicing with a partner can help deepen the posture and build trust, showing another dimension of yogic practice.

The press handstand is a measure of true strength and control. This video shows the fluid transition from a forward fold into a full handstand, a skill we build through progressive conditioning.

About this collection

Competitive training at my shala requires more than just interest. It demands a commitment to progressive conditioning, which is why I use traditional tools like the gada (mace) to build the functional shoulder stability required for elite handstand presses and deep inversions. Whether you are aiming for the state podium or mastering a challenging arm balance, we focus on the mechanics of strength before attempting the pose.

My Yogi-Warrior Philosophy

I treat yoga as a martial discipline. My practice, which I call the Yogi-Warrior style, focuses on creating a body that is durable, flexible, and capable. This is not about soft stretching; it is about building the foundation to perform advanced asanas like the Eka Hasta Padma Mayurasana (one-handed peacock) and complex inversions safely.

Competitive Excellence

My training is officially recognized and aligned with Yogasana Bharat. When students join for competitive coaching, they are not just learning poses; they are learning the strategy, hold times, and scoring systems required for state and national championships. Having represented Karnataka and secured a Bronze at the Senior National Yogasana Championship, I guide my students through the same rigorous path I followed to reach the podium.

Training Environment & Methodology

  • Functional Strength: We use the gada and partner-assisted drills to develop the specific power needed for high-level inversions.
  • Technical Precision: Every class involves hands-on adjustments. For students practicing high-risk inversions, I provide personal spotting to ensure safety.
  • Locations: We operate out of Nagarbhavi and Chandra Layout, focusing on group batches of 10 to 15 students to maintain a focused atmosphere.
  • Sanskrit Integration: Every session is grounded in tradition, incorporating shlokas and pranayama to ensure the mental discipline remains as strong as the physical.

Whether you are a local athlete looking for cross-training or a dedicated practitioner aiming to compete, my shala provides the space to push your limits.
