Interior design isn't just about glossy final photos. It is about the DIY reupholstery, the long site visits, and the constant hunt for the perfect cushion. Here is the honest, often messy reality of how we bring a home to life.

The craziness of a site handover and photoshoot styling is insane! This video shows the final push: picking accessories, borrowing vases, and lugging things around. It truly takes a village.

My amateur attempt at DIY reupholstering and making a reel! It took three hours just for the handrest, but I love getting my hands dirty and figuring things out on the go.

Making something pretty is a messy process. This is a quick look at a site visit in Bengaluru, capturing the raw, in-progress state of a project.

It's been an amazing year of projects, from residential makeovers to commercial spaces. This is a recap of all the tears and laughter, and I'm so excited for what's next.

Year-endings can be stressful, but looking back at these projects reminds me why it's all worth it. It’s for the love of creation and turning spaces into experiential art.

If you're wondering about my obsession with cushions, here's the evidence. This is my happy place, a collection that started as a way to document what I have and turned into... well, this!

Trust the process! This video gives you a real-life peek at a living room makeover, from the messy middle to the beautiful end. It’s a journey, but seeing it all come together is the best part.

About Behind the Scenes

A site handover involves far more than picking paint colours. It is a three-hour struggle to reupholster a handrest just right, or dragging a trolley full of vases through a construction site to find the perfect angle. If you see a styled room in a portfolio, know that it took a small village, a lot of coffee, and some very tired people to get it there.

The Messy Middle

Most people see the final reveal, but the 'messy middle' is where the actual work happens. My process involves dealing with the reality of Mumbai and Bengaluru apartments, where we often have to find creative solutions for hidden storage or awkward corners. Whether it is a full-home turnkey project or a single-room glow-up, the journey involves civil work, electrical rewiring, and figuring out how to make modular units fit perfectly.

Styling is the Final Push

The most intense part of any project is the final styling. It is the moment where we borrow vases, make custom artwork, and literally drag trolleys full of accessories into a space to see what clicks. My obsession with cushions is well-documented, but there is a reason for it. It is those soft textures and the way the light hits the fabric that make a house feel like a home.

Why Trust the Process?

If you are worried about the dust, the noise, or the seemingly endless iterations, know that it is all part of the ride. We take cues from your personal story, your quirks, and even your travel memories to build a space that feels like a sigh of relief. It is a labour of love, and while the process can be a roller coaster of laughter and stress, the end result is experiential art, not just decoration.

I am Dollar, and I don't believe in just handing over a finished room. I am usually the one on site, stapling upholstery or figuring out how to make storage disappear, because the magic is in the details we get our hands dirty for.
