Your bedroom should be your personal escape. From compact Mumbai apartments to sprawling villa suites, I design rooms that are calm, practical, and truly personal.

Designing for Mumbai homes pushes your creativity. In this guest bedroom, I managed to fit a full-sized bed, a mandir, wardrobes, and extra storage, all while creating a special look with a bold blue headboard.

This bedroom was designed for grandparents, with simple wooden details to bring in an old-world charm. The custom dressing unit has a large mirror and integrated storage for a functional, elegant touch.

For this client who wanted a calm room, I used simple textures on the wall and a monochromatic palette. The fluted paneling on the TV unit and wall adds visual play without being overwhelming.

This master suite features a floating bed and a sliding door to an informal lounge area. The wood-paneled headboard and green accent wall create a space that feels both luxurious and unconventional.

A before-and-after look at a master bedroom transformation. We went from a dated setup to a sophisticated space with custom paneling, a new color scheme, and thoughtful details.

This spacious bedroom in the Panchgani villa features a high, beamed ceiling and a custom wooden media unit that conceals the TV. The large window opens up to a balcony with a beautiful green view.

A cozy corner in another bedroom from the Panchgani villa. I mixed plaid and striped cushions for a touch of rustic charm, while the colorful geometric floor tiles add a playful, modern twist.

A video showcasing the little details and finishes of the grandparents' bedroom. I played with different shapes, laminates, and metallic finishes to create a rich, textured look.

About Dreamy Bedrooms

In compact Mumbai homes, space is a challenge, but your bedroom shouldn't feel like a puzzle. I’ve mastered the art of fitting a full-sized bed, hidden wardrobes, and even a mandir into tight footprints without making the room feel cramped. It is all about smart layouts that give you enough room to move and let the space breathe, ensuring that every corner serves a purpose.

I love the process of turning a chaotic site into a serene retreat. Whether you prefer a modern wabi-sabi aesthetic with muted tones or need a punch of color to wake you up, my approach starts with your story. I look at how you live—how you handle your morning routine, where you toss your phone at night, and how you need your storage arranged.

My bedroom designs often focus on two big pillars: texture and lighting. I rely on simple, high-quality textures like fluted wood paneling or soft linens to add visual interest without creating clutter. Lighting is just as important; I prefer layering warm, ambient light with task-specific lamps to ensure the room shifts easily from a place to get ready to a place to wind down.

For storage, I move away from clunky, traditional setups. I design custom floor-to-ceiling units that hide away your laundry or extra linens, keeping the room clean and organized. If you have older pieces you love, we can look at how to blend them in or rework them to fit a new theme. My goal is to make sure that when you walk in after a long day, the room doesn't just look finished, it feels like a heavy weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
