Mindfulness & Movement Classes for Kids in South Delhi
Help your child find focus and calm through playful yoga, breathing, and positive affirmations in our cozy Chittaranjan Park studio.
"I am confident. I am enough." This is a powerful moment from our mindfulness circle, where children learn to connect with their inner strength through positive self-talk and group meditation.
We use mindful yoga and stretching to help kids increase their focus and calm them down. These simple movements are a great way to channel their energy positively.
Our "Animals and Habitat" theme day included mindful yoga for kids. We connect our movements to the theme, like stretching like a giraffe or breathing like a sleeping lion.
About Mindfulness & Movement
I don't just teach yoga poses. In our sessions, we might breathe like a 'sleeping lion' to calm down after a busy day or recite affirmations like 'I am enough' to build real self-esteem. Everything happens in small groups of 4 to 8 kids right here in my Chittaranjan Park studio, so your child gets the individual attention they need to feel safe, heard, and ready to learn.
A calm mind is the foundation for everything—learning, creativity, and social interaction. Many parents notice that when children are constantly overstimulated, it becomes difficult for them to focus, which is why I created this specific approach at Curious Minds.
How We Build Focus
My sessions are designed to move children from a state of high energy to a state of calm. We use storytelling to make yoga accessible, connecting poses to animals they already know. When we talk about a giraffe, we stretch; when we talk about a sleeping lion, we practice deep, belly breathing. This isn't about perfecting a posture; it's about helping them understand their own bodies and emotions.
Why Affirmations Matter
I start and end our circles with positive self-talk. Phrases like 'I am confident' and 'I am enough' are powerful tools. When a child says these out loud, they begin to internalize them. This is especially helpful for kids who might feel shy or struggle with the pressures of school.
The Studio Environment
We operate out of a converted residential studio in Chittaranjan Park. It is designed to be a sensory-friendly space with standard PVC mats and floor seating. By keeping our groups small, I can ensure that every child gets the space to move, shout, or breathe without judgment. Whether your child is a toddler just learning to regulate their emotions or an older child needing a break from screen time, these sessions provide the tools to handle stress in a healthy, joyful way.
