Behind the Scenes: My Interior Design Process
Transformation is a journey, not an overnight event. See how I turn raw construction sites into functional, stylish commercial spaces from start to finish.
This reel captures the journey of the Coral Vintage office from a bare construction site to a finished, styled space. It's a reminder to always trust the process as I bring the vision to life, piece by piece.
About Behind the Scenes: My Design Process
Transformation is not just about the final photos. It starts with site visits, dust, and electrical layouts. When you see your site in the messy construction phase, it is easy to worry. That is actually when the real work happens, as we lay the groundwork for the final look. Trusting the process during this phase is how we get to the polished result you see in the gallery.
My design process is a full immersion into your brand identity. It moves through distinct stages, each requiring a different focus to ensure the final space is both practical and aligned with your vision.
The Workflow
-
Site Assessment & Planning: Every project begins with a deep dive into the space. For a small 162 sq. ft. area like my Coral Vintage Office project, this means optimizing every inch. I look at traffic flow, light, and utility before drawing a single line.
-
The Messy Middle: This is the execution phase. It involves civil work, electrical points, and ceiling details. Whether it is installing gypsum false ceilings or setting up profile lighting, this stage is where the structure comes to life. It is often loud and dusty, but it is necessary for the stability of your design.
-
Joinery & Styling: This is where the personality comes in. I design custom furniture like booth seating and display niches to fit the specific constraints of the room. We finish with materials like fluted panels, earthy color palettes, and soft furnishings that make the office feel welcoming rather than cold.
Why Process Matters
I handle site supervision personally, which means I am there to make on-site adjustments. If a partition needs to move a few inches to improve flow or a light fixture placement needs tweaking to avoid glare, I catch it early. My goal is to ensure that by the time we do a deep clean and final styling, the space feels like it was always meant to be this way.
