Rescue, Recovery, and Retirement for Bangalore's Strays
Beyond our large animal sanctuary, we dedicate our resources to trauma care and providing a dignified, peaceful retirement for senior and special-needs dogs.
This is a glimpse into the happy retirement our senior dogs enjoy at the CUPA My Vets for Pets Geriatric Centre (MGC). They have a peaceful space, lots of friends, and all the love they deserve.
This is our senior boy Babloo from the MGC. He's over 9 years old and is working on shedding some weight with daily walks. He is available for passive adoption to sponsor his golden years.
Meet sweet Tahira, a 7-year-old resident at our geriatric center. She was rescued after an injury and now enjoys a slow, happy retirement with us. She is also looking for a passive adopter.
Animals can't talk, but they show us how they feel. A hug, a trusting belly rub, a happy jump. These are the moments our team at the CUPA Trauma Centre lives for.
We had a wonderful day with volunteers from Google at our geriatric center. They pampered our oldies, helped with grooming, and left some truly heartfelt messages for our team.
Our pets and community animals are our children too. This Children's Day, we celebrate the love and joy they bring into our lives and renew our promise to give them the life they deserve.
About this collection
When you see these photos, you see happy dogs. But these seniors at our My Vets for Pets Geriatric Centre have deep histories—some abandoned, some injured. Passive adoption isn't just a donation, it is a commitment to sponsoring their monthly food, medical supplements, and the quiet comfort they need in their golden years.
Our work goes far beyond the gates of our main sanctuary. We operate a Trauma Centre in Bangalore for street animals in urgent need of medical attention. This is where we handle the hard cases—road accident victims, critical illnesses, and animal cruelty survivors. We do not turn them away. While many eventually heal and return to the streets, others, like our senior residents, find that they need a permanent place to rest.
Our Geriatric Centre is exactly that. It is a home for the 'oldies' who can no longer survive on the streets or have been discarded by their families. Here, they get the daily care, joint supplements, and the safety they were denied for so long.
How Passive Adoption Helps
Passive adoption allows you to become a guardian for a resident without physically taking them home.
- Sustainability: Your contribution covers daily nutrition, vaccinations, and geriatric pain management.
- Transparency: You receive periodic updates on your sponsored pet’s health and happiness.
- Connection: You are welcome to visit our centres, spend time grooming, or simply sit with them, which is therapy for both the human and the doggo.
Whether it is Babloo working on his health or Tahira enjoying her retirement, every resident here has a story. By choosing to sponsor, you are not just funding a bill, you are ensuring they live out their lives with the dignity and love every animal deserves.
Cupa
We are CUPA. For 34 years, we have been fighting for Bangalore’s street animals, whether they are trauma victims or seniors looking for a safe retirement. This is not a job for us; it is our life, and every animal here is family.
