Rescue and Recovery: Our Transformation Journeys

byPL PawsAvailable across BengaluruView full gallery

Witness the journey from street to safety. We document the full rehabilitation of our rescues, from medical recovery to the love of a foster home.

This is Luna's story. We found her as a terrified indie puppy on the streets. This video shows her journey from that scared baby to a playful, loved pup in her foster home.

This was our initial appeal for Luna, a 2-3 month old abandoned indie pup. We couldn't leave her on the streets, and thanks to our network, we were able to get her to safety.

This is how we found Charlie, a senior Golden Retriever, abandoned and alone. He was malnourished and had been cruelly debarked, but we promised him he would only get the best from now on.

Our first foster appeal for Charlie after we rescued him. He was positive for Babesia Gibsoni and needed a safe home to recover. Fostering is essential for sick and senior dogs.

This is the condition a 5-year-old Golden Retriever mother was in when we rescued her. Infested with ticks and with bleeding paws, she was abandoned after her puppies were sold. This is the ugly reality of backyard breeding.

This 4-month-old lab was tied up all day in the sun with no food or water. We rescued her, got her vet-checked, and placed her in a loving foster home where she could finally feel safe and enjoy being a puppy.

A foster appeal for Buddy, a 5-6 year old retriever found abandoned. He came to us with tick fever and needed a safe space to recover, as we cannot afford long hospital stays.

About this collection

Every dog you see here is recovering in a private foster home, not a kennel. We believe healing happens best in a household setting, so our rescues are already familiar with home life and human companionship by the time they are ready for adoption. When you reach out, you are connecting with the people who know exactly what this specific dog needs to settle in.

We operate without a physical shelter, which shapes every aspect of our rescue work in Bangalore. When we pull a dog from a cruel situation or the streets, they go straight from the vet to a dedicated foster home. This 'home-first' approach is why our rescues—whether an abandoned senior or a scared puppy—often adjust so quickly to family life. They aren't just surviving; they are decompressing in a real living room.

Our Medical & Dietary Standards

We don't cut corners on health. Our rescues come to us with diverse needs, from tick fever and malnutrition to complex surgical requirements like amputations or hernia repairs. We handle the diagnostics, surgeries, and 24/7 care. Nutrition is our non-negotiable tool for recovery. You will not find kibble here; we exclusively use species-appropriate, fresh meat-based diets. We see firsthand how much faster a dog heals when they get the right proteins and supplements.

The Human Element

It truly takes a village. From the initial report by a concerned citizen to our foster network that opens their doors, every rescue is a collective effort. If you are looking to get involved, fostering is the most impactful way to help. It gives us the space and resources to save the next dog in immediate danger. We provide the medical support, diet guidance, and transport; you provide the safe space where a dog learns that humans are trustworthy again.
