Passive adoption is about more than just a donation. It ensures that specific residents like our rescued horses and donkeys get the daily green fodder, fracture treatments, and soft flooring they need to live pain-free. You cover the cost of their care, and in return, you get direct updates and the chance to visit your adoptee right here at our sanctuary in Gnana Bharathi.
When you cannot bring a rescued cow, donkey, or horse home, passive adoption lets you be their guardian from afar. We have over 120 residents at our Large Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (LARRC) in Bangalore who need consistent support. Your contribution does not just go into a general fund; it goes directly toward the specific daily realities of sanctuary life. This includes 15 to 20 kg of fresh green fodder per day, mineral-fortified cattle feed, and the critical medical care required for geriatric residents or trauma survivors.
We believe in radical transparency. When you sponsor an animal, you are funding the essentials that keep them off the streets and out of harm's way. This covers everything from quarterly deworming and Tetanus vaccinations to facility maintenance like ensuring mud flooring remains soft for arthritic joints. As a guardian, you are always welcome to drop by, spend time grooming your adoptee, and hand-feed them treats. It is a commitment to their peace, ensuring that animals who spent years as laborers or victims of cruelty get to spend the rest of their lives simply being animals.
