This is Bheema, the grand old-man of our sanctuary. Rescued as a 3-day-old calf, he was hand-raised by our staff and has grown up with us.
Bheema is our official mascot. He has seen our organization grow and has been a steady, calming presence at the center for years.
Once a cheeky boy who loved to sneak up on people, Bheema is now settling into his wise old years. He's all about head scratches and long afternoon naps now.
Bheema's favorite meals include corn cobs, fresh greens, and a special bran mix. Keeping our residents well-fed and happy is a top priority.
Bheema has a special sense for when other animals need a friend. He is often found comforting a new rescue or keeping a sick resident company. He is a true friend in need.

About this collection
Bheema came to us as a three-day-old calf and has since grown into the heart of our shelter. While he was once a bit of a cheeky bully, he is now our wisest resident, always knowing when a new rescue needs a friend. At CUPA, we do not believe in keeping animals as laborers. Whether they arrive from cruel wedding gigs or severe road accidents, every one of our 120+ residents, including Bheema, horses, donkeys, and goats, deserves a retirement free from fear. We focus on large animal trauma recovery. This means no chains and no stress, just the freedom to graze in natural herds.
Our Large Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (LARRC) relies on support to keep this forever ghar running. When you choose passive adoption, your monthly contribution covers 100% of the animal's needs. This includes fresh green fodder, mineral-fortified feed, and essential medical care like geriatric joint support. It is a direct way to ensure that Bheema and his friends continue to live with dignity.
