Our Community of Supporters: Join the Movement for Bangalore's Animals
Our work survives on the dedication of people who care. Meet the rescuers, volunteers, and partners standing with us to provide a better life for our city’s animals.
Ms. Snigdha, a long-time community caregiver, shares why she trusts us with her rescues. She emphasizes the importance of releasing animals back to their own territory once they are healed.
Ms. Mookambika has been working with us for over a decade, bringing in more than 500 animals for neutering and treatment. She believes our voice can make a real change in their lives.
Esha, a rescuer who has worked with us since 2022, shares her first experience calling our ambulance for her old dog. She highlights how our prompt response and compassion have been vital for her rescue work.
We were thrilled to have volunteers from Goldman Sachs spend time with our senior dogs. They helped with grooming, therapy sessions, and gave our oldies much-needed love and attention.
About this collection
When you rescue an animal, you need more than just a hospital—you need a partner. Our community of supporters ranges from individual rescuers like Ms. Mookambika, who has brought over 500 animals to us, to corporate teams who spend their weekends grooming our senior residents. This is an ecosystem of care where every call, every volunteer hour, and every donation directly fuels our ability to handle the 50+ daily distress calls we receive across Bangalore.
Building a Safety Net for Bangalore’s Animals
Our work at the CUPA Trauma Centre and our Large Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (LARRC) is not a solo effort. It is built on a foundation of compassionate individuals who refuse to look away when they see an animal in pain.
The Rescuer’s Journey
Whether you are a first-time rescuer calling about an injured street dog or a long-term caregiver like Ms. Snigdha, our team is here to support you. We understand that medical care is just one part of the equation. Returning an animal to its original territory—where they are known, fed, and safe—is the true goal of recovery. Our community members are the eyes and ears of the city, helping us identify animals in need of urgent trauma care or spay/neuter services.
How You Can Make a Difference
There are many ways to be part of our community:
- Volunteer Your Time: From grooming senior dogs to assisting our staff in therapy sessions, your presence makes a measurable difference in the animals' quality of life.
- Donate for Rescues: All our emergency services for community animals are free. Your contributions allow us to keep our ambulances running and our trauma wards fully equipped.
- Become a Sponsor: Support our geriatric or special-needs residents through our permanent resident adoption program, ensuring they receive specialized diets and consistent medical care.
Why This Matters
Every animal we treat is a story of survival. By joining our community, you are not just supporting an organization; you are becoming an active participant in an ecosystem that values compassion over indifference. We believe in science, we believe in action, and we believe that together, we can build a city where every animal is protected.
Cupa
We have been here in Bangalore for 34 years, fighting for the animals others walk past. We are a team of vets, rescuers, and volunteers driven by a simple belief: every animal deserves a second chance, and compassion is an active, daily choice.
