Indian Fusion and Pichwai Inspired Mandala Art
Blending the meditative rhythm of mandala art with the timeless beauty of traditional Pichwai motifs.
A beautiful fusion of Pichwai art and mandala design. The center of this piece features a vibrant, traditional Pichwai-style lotus painting, which is then framed by a classic black and white mandala border.
This artwork is inspired by the beautiful lotus motifs found in traditional Indian art. The central mandala is surrounded by large, elegant lotus flowers, creating a piece that feels both spiritual and decorative.

About Indian Fusion & Pichwai Inspired
I design these fusion pieces by balancing the organic flow of lotus petals against geometric mandala patterns. Every stroke is intentional, and I can easily adjust the colour palette to match your existing home decor. If you want a specific lotus arrangement or a certain colour scheme, let me know when you reach out.
My approach to Indian fusion art is rooted in 'Saadgi'—the beauty of simplicity. When I paint a Pichwai-inspired piece, I start by sketching the sacred lotus, an element that brings a touch of nature and spiritual grounding into the artwork. Once the central motif is set, I build the surrounding mandala patterns layer by layer.
This specific style is about finding a middle ground between traditional folk art and modern geometry. Whether I am working on a 300 GSM paper or a canvas, the goal is always to create something that feels like a quiet corner of peace in your home.
Why consider this fusion style?
- Symbolism: The lotus is a powerful symbol of purity and rebirth, making these pieces meaningful for meditation spaces or living rooms.
- Customisation: I don't follow rigid templates. If you love the lotus theme but prefer a monochrome or a vibrant gold-leaf palette, we can adapt the design to fit your walls perfectly.
- Artistic Process: Every line you see is hand-drawn. I use fine-liners for precision in the mandala borders and rich acrylics for the petals to ensure the depth of the art pops out.
Since these are custom commissions, I recommend thinking about where you intend to display the piece. A smaller A4 size works well for study desks, while larger 24-inch canvases serve as a striking focal point for your living room. If you are looking for a unique gift that carries a story, a fusion mandala is a beautiful way to share that feeling of calm.
