I love mixing traditional Indian motifs with a modern touch. Whether it is the peaceful flow of a Buddha portrait or the vibrant energy of Lippan mirror art, I create pieces that bring warmth to your walls.

A watercolor painting of Lord Rama with "Jai Shri Ram" written in Hindi calligraphy. I used a fiery orange and yellow gradient for the background to create a powerful and devotional piece of spiritual art.

This painting is inspired by Gond art, a traditional Indian folk art style. I created a deer with its antlers transforming into a tree, filling the body with the intricate patterns, lines, and dots that are characteristic of this art form.

This video shows the first step in creating my Buddha painting: the line art. I use a fine-tipped pen to carefully draw the serene expression and the detailed, swirling patterns of the hair, laying the foundation for the watercolor to come.

Here, I'm applying the first layer of watercolor wash to the Buddha painting. Using a flat brush, I create a blended background of blues and greens, setting a calm and meditative tone for the portrait.

The next step in the process is painting the Bodhi leaves in the background. I use a deep green watercolor to paint the distinct heart shape of the leaves, which are symbolic in Buddhist tradition.

A close-up look at a Lippan art piece I created on a wooden board. This traditional mud and mirror work from Kutch, Gujarat, involves creating patterns with clay and embedding mirrors, resulting in a beautiful, reflective piece of decor.

This canvas painting is a fusion of mandala and Lippan art styles. I painted a vibrant, floral mandala design and then embellished it with small mirrors, adding a touch of sparkle and traditional craft to the modern canvas.

Another one of my mirror work pieces on canvas. This one features a colorful lotus mandala design with glitter and mirror embellishments, combining the spiritual symbolism of the lotus with the decorative beauty of Indian craftwork.

A geometric rooster drawn with pen and filled in with watercolors. The design is inspired by folk art styles, using simple shapes, lines, and dots to create a stylized and colorful bird illustration.

About Indian Folk & Spiritual Art

When I work on these traditional pieces, like my Lippan mirror canvases or Gond-inspired sketches, I always start by listening to the mood you want for your space. Whether you are looking for a serene Buddha for your meditation corner or a vibrant folk art piece for your living room, I tailor the color palette to match your existing home decor. Every line and mirror is placed by hand, ensuring your art feels personal and unique rather than mass-produced.
