Welcome to the heart of our community. Here is a curated look at the performances, stories, and gatherings that have defined our Kengeri space.

A glimpse into a magical evening with Bindhumalini and Vedanth. Our intimate black box theatre, with its warm brick walls, came alive with their music, creating a space where every note felt personal and every member of the audience was part of the story.

The grace of Odissi fills our stage. Here, dancers from the renowned Nrityagram perform 'Aṅgahāraḥ', a duet that showcases perfect synchronization and emotive storytelling, bringing ancient traditions to a contemporary audience in a close-up, personal setting.

A scene from our Koota Production of Girish Karnad's 'Wedding Album'. Our flexible stage is transformed into a family living room, drawing the audience right into the middle of the drama and laughter of a modern Indian household.

The energy is electric when Malhar Laugh Club takes over. Here's comedian Nishant Suri engaging with a packed house, proving that our space is as perfect for roaring laughter as it is for quiet reflection.

Welcome to our Koota. We are more than just a venue; we are a collective of passionate individuals. This is a quick introduction to the team that brings the art, stories, and community spirit to life every day.

A soulful evening with Manipuri folk singer-songwriter Chaoba Thiyam during his 'Lamkoi Wari Liba' tour. This is the kind of magic we live for: a single artist, a guitar, and a room full of captivated listeners hanging on every word and melody.

This is how our dream took shape. From an empty hall to a vibrant hub for the arts, this video shows the transformation of our space. We built Courtyard Koota to be a proper gathering spot, and every brick and beam was placed with that intention.

The Koota Jazz Festival in full swing with the band REFUGE. Our stage supports a full tech rig, allowing for diverse musical setups like this one, blending piano, violin, fretless bass, and drums for a rich, contemporary sound.

About Featured

What you see in these photos is exactly how the room feels in person. Because our black box theatre is designed for intimacy, with the front row less than six feet from the stage, you are not just a spectator. You are sitting in the middle of the conversation.

We built Courtyard Koota to be a proper gathering spot, not just another venue. When we designed this space, we focused on flexibility and proximity. Whether it is a classical music concert, a stand-up comedy set with Malhar Laugh Club, or an intense piece of contemporary theatre, the experience remains grounded and real.

The 'black box' setup allows us to shift the energy entirely based on the performance. One day we are hosting a focused author chat, and the next we are transforming the room for a wild fusion band or a community festival. Our in-house tech rig handles the sound and lighting, while our team ensures the environment stays focused and comfortable for both the artists and the audience.

Being based in Kengeri, we wanted to ensure that people from across Bengaluru had access to high-quality, independent art without the distance or formality of traditional auditoriums. We value the chaos of collaboration. Often, the best ideas for our productions or workshops happen right here in the courtyard lobby while people mingle over chai after a show. If you are looking for an intimate performance space that feels like home, come pull up a chair.

We are not just a building with a stage; we are a collective built for stories and connections. Natasha, Nanu, Sridevi, Khushi, and our volunteers keep this place humming. We believe a space shapes you just as much as you shape it.
