Community Gatherings, Workshops and Cultural Events
We believe a space should do more than just house an event. At Courtyard Koota, our Kengeri venue is built for connection, hosting everything from intimate film screenings and sustainability talks to hands-on art workshops.

About Community & Learning: Festivals, Workshops & Talks
When you join us for a workshop or a screening, you aren't just sitting in a row. Our space in Kengeri is designed to break down the barrier between the stage and the floor. Whether it is a film screening followed by an open discussion or a deep-dive conversation on sustainability, you will find that the real learning happens in the conversations that spill over into the courtyard long after the event ends.
Our approach to community events is simple: keep it intimate. Unlike larger auditoriums, our black box theatre in Kengeri allows for a genuine dialogue between the performer and the audience. When we host festivals like the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF) or local hubs like BLR Hubba, the focus remains on the exchange of ideas rather than the scale of the production.
We believe that a workshop should be hands-on and a talk should be provocative. That is why we equip our space with a flexible lighting rig and professional sound, but we strip away the usual theatre pretension. From our annual children’s festival, Makkala Masti, to weekend film clubs, we adapt our space to fit the story you want to tell.
If you are planning an event here, know that we view it as a partnership. We provide the infrastructure to accommodate 80 to 100 guests in a climate-controlled setting, but you bring the community. It is about fostering an environment where curiosity is the guest of honour and every participant leaves with something more than just a ticket stub.
Courtyard Koota
We started as a simple idea: a space where stories and art could actually live. We are Natasha, Nanu, Sridevi, and Khushi, and we spend our days making sure our Kengeri space feels less like a standard venue and more like a home for creators and audiences alike.
