Core and Foundational Workouts for Combat Sports
A strong core is the engine of every strike. We build foundational stability using real resistance, not machines, to prepare you for the intensity of the ring.
We never skip core day. This montage shows a variety of our core-strengthening exercises, including planks, leg raises, and kettlebell sit-ups, which are vital for rotational power and stability.
This is a classic fighter's core workout. Our members use tires for resistance during sit-ups, building the abdominal strength needed to both deliver and take a punch.
Partner sit-ups are a great way to build core strength and team spirit. This simple but effective exercise is a staple in our conditioning routines.
About this collection
We don't waste time on endless, static crunches. In our sessions, you will use tractor tires for resistance and partner drills to build the functional stability required to deliver force. You will feel this in your abs, lower back, and hips, creating the rigid frame necessary to both throw a punch and absorb one.
Most gyms treat core training as an afterthought or a vanity project. At Combatant Muay Thai Academy, we view it as the structural foundation of a fighter. If your core is weak, your punches lack snap and your endurance fails when you need it most.
Our foundational workouts are designed for real-world combat fitness. We use tractor tires to add weight to your sit-ups, forcing your abs to work under tension. We utilize partner-assisted drills to build accountability and intensity. You will also use medicine balls and bodyweight circuits to ensure your muscles are ready for the explosive movements of Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA.
Located in Doddanekundi, our academy is a non-AC, fan-cooled industrial space. We strip away the distractions of fancy equipment. Everything here is meant for one purpose: building a machine that can perform. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced fighter, these sessions are where you develop the internal strength that separates a casual gym-goer from a combat athlete. You will learn to control your breath, maintain your frame during exhaustion, and keep your composure when the pressure is high.
