When we bring partners, older siblings, and even family pets into the Whitefield studio, the dynamic changes from a structured portrait session to a genuine interaction.

Why include the whole family?

These sessions are about documenting the bond you share right now. Whether it's a partner holding your hand for support, an older child showing off their 'Big Sibling' sign, or your dog sitting patiently in a frame, these elements add layers of storytelling that solo portraits simply cannot convey.

Handling the chaos

I know that children and pets don't always follow a script. That is part of the charm. We allow time for:

• Adjusting to the lights: If your child is shy, we start with simple, playful setups before moving to the main portraits.
• Breaks: We pause for snacks, outfit changes, or just a quick reset so no one feels forced into a pose.
• Interaction: Instead of asking for 'cheese,' I focus on getting parents and children to interact—cuddling, laughing, and whispering—which results in natural, candid expressions.
