About The Whole Gang: Shoots with Family & Pets
Bringing your pet or older kids to a maternity shoot changes the dynamic, and that is exactly why I love it. If you have a pet, I highly recommend choosing an outdoor location or your own home instead of a studio. This keeps them in a familiar, comfortable space, which makes it much easier to get natural, happy photos of the whole family together without the stress of an unfamiliar environment.
The best family maternity photos are never the ones where everyone is forced to stare at the lens and smile. When I work with families, I prioritize movement and interaction over stiff posing. If you have a toddler, we will play games and keep them moving so they do not get restless. If you have a pet, my focus is on capturing the bond they have with you and your partner. Whether it is a quiet moment on your living room sofa or a walk through a local park like Cubbon Park, the priority is comfort for the whole group.
I offer flexible 2 to 4 hour sessions to ensure we have enough time to manage everyone’s energy levels. You do not need to worry about perfect behavior. The most beautiful shots often happen when the kids are laughing at a joke or your dog is curious about the camera lens. I also provide all raw files so you have the complete story of the day, not just the highlights. If you have any specific themes like traditional outfits for the whole family or casual weekend wear, just share that in our pre-shoot chat so I can help coordinate the session flow.
