About The Whole Family
Getting the whole family in front of the lens can feel like herding cats, but that is exactly where the magic happens. Whether it is your toddler deciding they are done with photos or your dog wanting to be in every shot, I encourage you to let it happen. We will not force stiff poses. Instead, we work with the energy you have that day, because those real moments of laughter, movement, and gentle chaos are the ones you will cherish decades later.
When I photograph families, I am not looking for perfection. I am looking for the story. If you have an older sibling who is shy or a dog who thinks he is the star of the show, bring them along. These additions are what turn a standard maternity shoot into a memory of who you were as a family right before the arrival of your new baby.
My approach is centered on comfort. If we are shooting at your home in Bengaluru, the environment is already familiar, which helps kids and pets feel at ease. If we go outdoors to a park or lake, I keep the session moving. We walk, we play, and we take breaks whenever the little ones need a snack or a reset.
There is a distinct difference between a posed portrait and a lifestyle image. When you are interacting—reading a book, playing on the bed, or walking hand-in-hand through a park—the photos become a time capsule. You are not just remembering how you looked; you are remembering how you felt. I often use a mix of digital and film to capture these sessions. The digital files give you crisp, sharp memories, while my vintage FED-5 film camera adds a soft, timeless grain that makes these family moments feel permanent.
