About Modern & Minimalist Portraits
Minimalism is not about doing less, it is about seeing more. In these studio sessions, we skip the elaborate backdrops and focus entirely on your silhouette and the connection between you and your partner. It requires a bit of stillness, but the result is a powerful, timeless image that captures your pregnancy exactly as it feels.
When I shoot a minimalist portrait, my goal is to document the human experience of pregnancy. We use controlled lighting in my Whitefield studio to highlight the curves of the bump and the depth of your bond. These sessions usually involve solid-colored backdrops or simple drapes that do not compete with the subject.

We shoot in both rich color and high-contrast black and white. B&W is particularly effective for minimalist work because it removes color distractions, forcing the eye to focus on texture and light.
