Step into our Koramangala studio, a green, quiet space designed for you to disconnect and explore the tactile world of clay. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced potter, we offer a welcoming community to help you find your hunar.

Our instructor, Kinjal, shares her thoughts on hand-building. She explains how working with clay is a meditative process that documents your inner state, allowing you to create forms without needing a potter's wheel.

Meet Vignesh, a versatile and dedicated member of our Clay Station family. From warehouse supervision to glaze production, his hard work and collaborative nature are invaluable to our studio's operations.

About this collection

We operate our sessions with a focus on tactile learning, ensuring you get hands-on time whether you are trying the wheel or mastering hand-building techniques. All workshop fees include the technical work, as we handle the trimming, glazing, and high-fire kiln processing in-house. This ensures your finished pieces are food-safe and durable, with a typical collection turnaround of 2 to 4 weeks after your session.

Our Studio Philosophy

We believe that working with clay is a meditative process that documents your inner state. By keeping our studio in Koramangala green and tranquil, we provide a necessary break from the digital noise of the city. Our community is built on the belief that everyone has potential, or 'hunar', and our space is designed to nurture that through structured, accessible learning.

Workshop Formats

  • Hand-Building: Ideal for those who want to focus on form and texture without the complexity of the wheel. We cover pinch, coil, and slab techniques to help you create functional stoneware.
  • Wheel Throwing: We offer one-on-one guidance to help you center the clay and pull walls. This is a technical skill that requires patience, and our instructors are there to support you through the frustration of the first few attempts.
  • Corporate & Group Events: We host creative wellness workshops for teams, providing an environment where colleagues can step away from laptops and engage in a shared, messy, and productive activity.

The 'Arangetram' Milestone

We do not believe in keeping art within the classroom. Our annual 'Arangetram' is a dedicated showcase where our students display and sell their work. It is a significant milestone that allows you to see what the professional art world feels like, helping you transition from hobbyist to artist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior experience? No. Most of our workshops are designed for beginners. We provide all the materials, tools, and apron support you need to start.

What happens if I make a mistake? Clay is forgiving. If a piece collapses or cracks, we see it as part of the process. We encourage you to restart and learn from the movement of the clay.

When can I collect my work? Because we fire your pieces in an electric kiln to 1220°C (Cone 6), the process takes time. We will notify you once your pottery has finished its double-firing cycle, usually within 3 weeks.

We started this studio because we wanted a space where people could mess around with clay without any pressure. It is less about achieving perfection and more about the connection you build with the material and the community around you.
