Custom Hand-Painted Art for Your Everyday Life
Art shouldn't be hidden away on a wall. I create hand-painted items, from wearable sarees and umbrellas to restored vintage decor, that bring beauty and soul into your daily routine.
A hand-painted umbrella ready for the monsoon. I used acrylics to add these cheerful yellow tulips, turning a simple functional item into a unique, artistic accessory.
A behind-the-scenes look at me adding a layer of resin to my painted vinyl records. This process protects the artwork and gives it a beautiful, glossy finish, turning old records into decorative wall art.
The restoration of a 65-year-old Lipton tea box. I carefully repainted the intricate floral designs, bringing this beautiful vintage tin back to its former glory.
Sometimes I love to experiment with different crafts, like making this resin jewelry. From earrings to pendants, it's a fun way to create small, wearable pieces of art.
I revamped this metallic stole by adding simple 'katha' or running stitches. This traditional hand-stitching technique softened the look and gave it a unique, Indianized feel.
Painting on an umbrella was a surprisingly meditative and exhilarating experience. It’s wonderful to know this piece of art will be out in the world, bringing a little color to a rainy day.
A glimpse of my hand-painted functional art, including a landscape-painted tray and various resin jewelry pieces. These items are perfect for adding an artistic touch to your home and style.
A hand-painted wooden tray featuring a scenic road lined with flowers. I coat these pieces with resin to make them durable and waterproof, so you can use them for serving or as a decorative piece.
A close-up of the hand-painted linen kurta. The design flows organically from the neckline, making the garment itself a canvas for this beautiful floral motif.
A hand-painted saree in motion. I love creating custom motifs for sarees, like these yellow tulips along the border, turning a traditional garment into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.
About Art for Your Everyday Life
If you have a piece you cherish, perhaps a saree or a wooden tray, I use heat-set fabric paints or resin sealing to ensure the artwork holds up against daily use. We will discuss the colors and the story you want to tell, then I will add the paint to transform your item into a one-of-a-kind treasure.
For me, art is about living. While I love canvas painting, there is a special joy in creating things that you can touch, wear, and use every single day. My work in this cluster spans a wide variety of items, from functional home decor to personal accessories that hold memories.
Wearable Art and Accessories
I treat clothing as a canvas. Whether it is a hand-painted Kerala cotton saree for a special event or a casual linen kurta, I use specialized fabric dyes that are heat-set for wash resistance. You can bring your own base garment, and we can discuss motifs ranging from floral patterns to mythological figures. Umbrellas, too, become artistic statements when painted with acrylics to brighten up a rainy day.
Upcycling and Functional Decor
I believe in giving new life to old things. I have restored vintage items, like a 65-year-old Lipton tea box, carefully repainting the details to bring back their original charm. I also work with resin to transform everyday objects, like old vinyl records or wooden trays, into durable, glossy wall art or serving pieces. These items are treated with hardy enamels and resin to ensure they are waterproof and functional.
The Process
Every project starts with a conversation. We talk about the mood, the surface, and the specific vibe you want. Because I work from my studio in Noida, I am happy to guide you through the process, whether it is a small item you are sending to me or a larger commission. If you have an object that has been sitting in a corner and needs a creative refresh, send me a message. Let us see how we can turn your idea into a functional piece of art.
