About Ethnic Wear Design & Embroidery Classes
What I Bring to the Table
I pour my heart into teaching ethnic wear design. Every class is shaped by what makes Soul Couture tick - the perfect fit, obsession with neat stitching, and that extra detail in hand embroidery. I want you to feel the joy of turning an idea into a piece you can wear, just like I do.
What You'll Learn
- Step-by-step guidance to take your sketch and turn it into an actual outfit. Think bridal blouses, lehengas, men's kurtas, and more.
- Pattern making for that spot-on fit, not the one-size-fits-all stuff.
- Deep dive into Indian textile design classes - we work with Kanchipuram silk, Banarasi, velvet, and net. Mixing and matching fabrics is half the fun.
- I show you upcycling old sarees into fresh, contemporary pieces. No need to throw away grandma's saree - make something new out of it.
Hand Embroidery: The Real Showstopper
- Aari and Zardosi embroidery workshops, hands-on and practical.
- Learn multi-color thread work, beadwork, sequin work, and how to finish garments with handmade tassels (kuchu) and pearl hangings.
- Motif creation for ethnic wear - peacocks, elephants, florals. You'll make motifs that actually mean something.
My Teaching Style
I'm all about the details. I keep it supportive, never rushed. You get a safe space to mess up, learn, and nail those couture techniques. It's not just technical – I want you to discover your own style and bring it out in your work.
Who's This For?
If you're dreaming of designing your own ethnic wear, want to specialize in embroidery, or just love making something beautiful with your hands, you'll fit right in.

My Story
Hey, I’m Chandana, the soul behind Soul Couture. Born and raised in Nelamangala, Bangalore, I started this because I wanted clothes with real feeling, not just fabric. Nothing beats the joy of seeing a bride light up in her new blouse—each piece is like a diary entry for me. My love for fashion also led me to open Soul Fashion Academy, so I could share what I know. Creativity’s just how I breathe.
My Work
What We Do - We create custom designer blouses, full bridal wear, half sarees, lehengas, and offer saree styling for weddings. We also teach at our fashion academy in Bangalore.
Obsessed With Details - People say our fitting and detailing are next level. We don’t rush. Every piece is neat and finished just right.
Bridal Wear, South Indian Style - We love working with brides—especially for South Indian and Kannada weddings. From Kanchipuram silk to crepe, we’ll guide you and design for your Muhurtham or reception.
Upcycled Saree Magic - Got an old crepe silk saree? We can turn it into a fresh half saree or lehenga, just for you.
