About The Rider & Horse Bond
We never rush you onto the saddle. Before you ride, our NCC-trained coaches guide you through the basics of grooming and leading your horse. This creates a foundation of trust, ensuring you feel confident and safe, rather than just a passenger, when you finally begin your trail ride.
Riding is a two-way conversation. When you come to our Gwal Pahari facility, you realize that horses like Zorawar and Akira pick up on your energy immediately. This is why we prioritize the 'ground work' phase of our training. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced rider looking to improve your dressage, the bond you form with the animal dictates the quality of your ride.
Why the Bond Matters
Horses are sensitive to your posture, your breathing, and even your mood. If you approach them with anxiety, they sense it. Our approach uses gentle, positive reinforcement to help you calm your mind and focus on the present. It turns a 90-minute Aravali trail ride from a simple activity into a meditative escape from the city noise.
Our Approach to Training
Our coaches bring years of experience from the NCC and Asian Games. They teach that true horsemanship is not about forcing the animal to obey, but about inviting them to cooperate. During your session, you will learn to:
- Approach and approach the horse safely.
- Use body language to communicate intent.
- Develop a steady rhythm that matches your horse.
- Maintain a 'soft hand' while controlling the pace.
This is why we recommend our sessions for families and corporate teams, not just individual riders. The lessons in communication and patience you learn here often stay with you long after you leave the stables. Bahut badhiya, right?
CanterWoods
We created CanterWoods to be a sanctuary, not just a training ground. You will meet horses like Zorawar and Akira who have real personalities, and you will learn that riding is just as much about listening as it is about steering.
