About The Art of Dressage
Dressage is truly a conversation between rider and horse. In our sessions, we focus on helping you find that rhythm—adjusting your weight, softening your hands, and learning to listen to your partner. Whether you are working with our seasoned schoolmasters or training on your own horse, our coaches break down the mechanics of every movement, ensuring you understand the 'why' behind every transition.
At our Bijwasan facility, we treat dressage as an Olympic discipline that builds the foundation for all riding. We do not just teach you to ride; we teach you to communicate. Our training focuses on the classical principles of rhythm, suppleness, and contact. We work with students at every level, from complete beginners starting their first flatwork to experienced competitors preparing for the FEI Dressage World Challenge.
Our Training Approach
We believe in the horse as a teammate, not a tool. Our Dutch Warmbloods and athletic schoolmasters are trained to respond to subtle cues, which teaches our riders to develop a quiet, independent seat.
- Flatwork Basics: We spend time getting the basics right. This includes correct posture, balance, and learning how to influence the horse’s gait through your core.
- FEI Preparation: For those aiming for the national stage, we offer intensive coaching on competition tests, rule mastery, and ring craft. Our track record includes helping riders qualify for the Indian team for the FEI World Dressage Challenge.
- Technical Feedback: Our coaches provide honest, on-ground feedback. There is no snobbery here—just practical steps to improve your precision. If a movement is not working, we stop, explain the physics of the aid, and try again until you and your horse move as one.
