Personalized Storytelling Cakes
I turn your specific memories and favourite things into edible stories, sculpting every detail by hand right here in Malleswaram. Let’s create a cake that captures your journey.
This cake was a joy to create, building an entire world around a conversation between a girl and a monkey at a cafe. I love when clients give me creative freedom. We built the cafe exterior, a neighbouring flower shop, and even matched the floor pattern on top of the cake to create a complete, immersive scene.
This top-forward cake was designed for a 50th birthday, capturing all of the recipient's favourite things. We created a miniature Marine Drive scene as the foundation, then added elements like her favourite car, travel destinations, and food. It’s my favourite way to make a 'favourite things' cake feel connected and meaningful.
For this 70th birthday cake, we created a scene that tells the story of a man's life. One side represents his work and home, while the other shows his family and hobbies. This narrative approach is much more satisfying than just placing random items on a cake.
A beach-themed 'favourite things' cake. The client's list included burgers, travel, skincare, and binge-watching. The beach setting provided the perfect backdrop to bring all these different elements together in a fun and cohesive design.
This cricket-themed cake was a tribute to the Indian team's championship win. I recreated the iconic image of the players celebrating on the field, with the stadium crowd made of colourful sprinkles. It's a design that can be adapted for any field sport.
This cake, showing a man balancing between his weekday work life and weekend cricket hobby, was brought to life from a simple doodle. It's a perfect example of how we can collaborate to turn a simple idea into a detailed, personal story.
I created this desk-shaped cake with a tired employee figurine for a work-related celebration. Using a clever cutting technique, I was able to make the desk shape from a single square cake with no waste, which is always a bonus!
A travel-themed farewell cake designed to look like a packed suitcase. It features a couple ready for their next adventure, complete with their passports and a luggage tag. It’s a sweet way to wish someone all the best on their journey.
Welcome to Bengaluru! I made this cake to welcome my cousin to the city, featuring a figurine of an iconic India Coffee House server. The tray is filled with miniature edible versions of local snacks, a theme I had been wanting to do for years.
A close-up of the 'Adharma' side of the Dharmasthapane cake, showing the weeping farmer and child amidst a barren landscape. Sculpting such complex and sorrowful expressions in fondant was a challenge I was excited to take on.
About Personalized Storytelling Cakes
You don't need a polished concept to get started. Whether it is a rough doodle or a simple list of favourite things like your Sunday cricket games or a specific cafe memory, I use those raw details to build the narrative. We start by sketching the layout so you can see the story before I even turn on the oven. Since these are intricate designs with custom fondant sculpting, I focus on one story at a time, so please reach out at least a week before your event.
A cake should feel like a single, cohesive scene rather than a scrapbook of random objects. When I build these, I think about the environment, the street around the cafe, the floor pattern, or the setting sun behind a landmark. I treat the cake as a canvas, which is why I use a 1.5kg minimum base for most storytelling projects. It gives me the space to place figures and props without the design feeling crowded.
If you have a theme in mind, we will collaborate on the technical details. I work primarily with fondant, but I am happy to use chocolate or cookies if you are not a fan of the texture. Everything is baked and sculpted in my Malleswaram studio. Because these are delicate, structural pieces, I do not offer delivery. I will need you to pick up your cake in a car with the AC running, especially during the summer, to keep the fondant figures safe.
Whether you are planning a milestone birthday or a retirement surprise, let's turn your specific memory into a piece of edible art.
