Classic Pattu Pavadai Sets
Traditional South Indian silk pavadai sets, hand-stitched with love to make every festival and ceremony special for your little one.
A beautiful shot of a custom-designed Pattu Pavadai in green and pink. I used pure silk and added delicate embroidery on the puffed sleeves to give it a rich, couture feel perfect for a little princess.
This close-up just melts my heart. She is wearing a simple yet elegant cream and pink silk pavadai, a traditional outfit that is perfect for a baby's first festival or ceremony.
A full-length view of the cream and pink Pattu Pavadai. The pleated skirt allows for easy movement, and the silk fabric with its wide zari border gives it a classic, festive look.
Such a happy smile! The outfit is designed to be comfortable, using soft lining under the silk so that children feel happy and can be themselves while wearing my creations.
Another joyful moment captured in her traditional attire. The bright pink blouse and belt feature a lovely brocade pattern that contrasts beautifully with the light-colored skirt.
I always pay attention to the back of the outfit. Here you can see the neat finish and the simple tie-up detail, along with a small drape that gives it the look of a half-saree.
About Classic Pattu Pavadai Sets
Every pattu pavadai I stitch comes with 2 to 3 inches of extra margin tucked inside the bodice and waist, so the outfit fits your little one for a year or two as they grow. I also ensure the inner lining is made from soft Butter Crepe or Cotton Shantoon rather than harsh fabrics, because I know that keeping their delicate skin irritation-free is just as important as the zari work on the outside.
I believe that traditional wear should be as comfortable as it is beautiful. Whether you choose a rich Art Silk or a classic Banarasi Brocade, my goal is to give you a piece that feels special for festivals, birthdays, or family gatherings.
Why my Pattu Pavadai sets are different
- Fabric Choice: I offer premium Art Silk and Banarasi Brocade for that perfect festive look. If you have something specific in mind, we can discuss the fabric base to ensure it drapes beautifully on your child.
- Design Flexibility: You can go for the classic puffed sleeves or a modern peplum blouse. I handle all the pleating—box or knife—to ensure the skirt has the right amount of flare and movement.
- Matching Sets: One of my favorite things to do is create twinning looks. Whether it is a matching mother-daughter saree and pavadai set or a coordinated look for siblings, I love bringing the family together through coordinated outfits.
The Process
Since everything I make is custom-designed, you get to be part of the process. We can play with colors, discuss neck designs, and add those little hand-embroidered touches that make the outfit truly one-of-a-kind. I work out of my studio in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, and I am happy to guide you through fabric selection to ensure the final result is exactly what you imagined. Just let me know what occasion you are dressing up for, and we will make it happen.
