Handcrafted Kids' Ethnic & Party Wear
From traditional Pattu Pavadai sets to custom party frocks, I design outfits that let your little ones move, play, and look their best for festivals and birthdays.
This is what makes my work so special. I had the honor of designing this coordinated mother-daughter set, creating a beautiful memory for this lovely family. The way they look at each other is just everything.
Look at this little one striking a pose! I designed this custom birthday frock with a sparkling maroon skirt and fluffy pink floral details just for her special day. Seeing her so happy and confident is the best reward.
I love adding a playful touch to traditional wear. For this classic Pattu Pavadai, I designed a modern peplum blouse and added a cute, custom hand-embroidered bicycle, a little detail just for her.
This little girl looks like royalty in her custom silk Pattu Pavadai. The rich green blouse with puffed sleeves and the vibrant pink skirt with a traditional gold border is a classic combination that I adore making.
Sibling love! I created these coordinating Pattu Pavadai sets for two sisters. Using the same beautiful blue and gold brocade silk for the skirts, I designed unique blouses to match their individual styles.
Such an adorable face! This little client is wearing a traditional cream and pink silk pavadai set. The simplicity of the design really lets her sweet personality shine through.
About Featured
I build a 2-3 inch margin into the bodice and waist of every outfit. Kids grow fast, and this hidden buffer lets you adjust the fit later, so they can wear their favorite birthday frock or Pattu Pavadai for an extra year or two.
Making clothes for children requires a different balance than bridal couture. While I use the same high-quality fabrics—like Art Silk, Banarasi Brocade, and soft organza—the focus shifts from pure opulence to active comfort.
Traditional Pattu Pavadai
For these classic South Indian sets, I prioritize skin protection. Every skirt is lined with soft butter crepe or cotton shantoon to ensure the Zari borders don't irritate delicate skin. Whether you want the traditional box-pleated floor-length skirt or a modern peplum-style blouse, each piece is stitched to handle running, sitting, and playing.
Custom Party Frocks
When it comes to birthday dresses, the volume is key. I use structured Can-Can (hard net) underlayers to get that perfect ballroom bounce. To keep the skirt shape, I stitch horsehair braid (crinoline) at the hemline. Because these gowns often involve nets and sequins, I always include a double lining system, with a satin layer and a final cotton layer to keep the child comfortable for the entire party.
The Custom Process
Based in Yelahanka, I work closely with parents to finalize the design. You can choose the fabric, the level of hand-embroidery, or even request matching outfits if you want a twinning look with your child. Every piece is made from scratch, so if your child has a specific theme or color in mind, I can incorporate those details into the embroidery or the silhouette.
