About Custom Party Frocks & Modern Twists
I stitch a 2 to 3-inch margin into every kids' outfit because I know how quickly little ones grow. This hidden buffer allows the waist and bodice to be adjusted for a year or two of extra wear, ensuring you get real value out of your custom Pattu Pavadai or birthday frock.
My approach to kids' wear is simple: it has to be beautiful, but it must be comfortable. For my party frocks, I use soft net and organza layered over double linings of satin and cotton, ensuring no sequin or rough fabric touches your child's skin. To get that perfect, bouncy volume, I include a hard-net 'Can-Can' underlayer and finish the hemlines with horsehair braid for structure.
