Cricket Coaching Insights and Philosophy
I believe in practicing what I preach. These clips show my approach to the game—keeping the basics sharp regardless of age.
I still believe in practicing what I preach. This is me bowling in the nets at age 63, focusing on maintaining a smooth and economical action. The fundamentals never get old.
This is my personal coaching logo, representing the classic art of cricket that I am passionate about teaching.
About Additional Media
At 63, I still get into the nets and bowl. This is not about theory or textbook definitions; it is about how the body moves naturally. When you watch these clips, notice the rhythm. If you want to fix your action, we do it by understanding your unique biomechanics, not by forcing a robotic style that does not fit your body.
Cricket looks simple but mastering it is tough. My coaching philosophy at BPCA, Armane Nagar, is rooted in the basics of movement. Whether you are a bowler struggling with hip rotation or a batter fighting an unstable stance, the fix is rarely a complicated theory. It is almost always a small adjustment to your weight transfer or follow-through.
Why Technique Matters
Too many players focus on power before they master the mechanics. If your arm is not in the right position, or if you are not transferring your power effectively from the ground up, you will hit a ceiling. I use handheld video analysis to show you exactly what is happening in your action versus what you feel is happening. This is the 'feel vs reality' gap that ruins games.
My Approach to Coaching
When you train with me, you get my direct, hands-on feedback. I do not stand on the sidelines; I am on the pitch with you. I speak in English, Hindi, and Kannada because the goal is for you to understand, not for me to sound smart.
- For Bowlers: We fix the hip rotation and the release point.
- For Batters: We focus on the head position, the elbow, and the balance.
This is not a generic summer camp. This is technical, one-on-one intervention for cricketers who are ready to put in the work. If you are serious about refining your action and building a solid foundation, let us get to work.
