Watch our coaches break down the fundamentals. From refining your cover drive to hitting the right bowling spot, here is how we teach the basics of the game.

A perfect cover drive requires a bent front knee for better weight transfer and control. This drill shows the difference between a stiff leg and a flexible, powerful stance.

Mastering the front foot defense is crucial. Our coach demonstrates how to keep your head over the ball and use a soft bottom hand to absorb pace and control the block.

Learn the front foot drive from our coach. He explains the importance of head position, weight transfer, and full arm extension to play a powerful and controlled shot.

The on-drive requires a slight opening of the body to play the shot effectively. Our coach demonstrates the correct body alignment and footwork for young, aspiring players.

Understanding the sweep shot. This drill explains how to adjust your shot based on the line of the ball, whether it's pitched outside off, straight, or on the leg side.

How to approach a short ball. We teach players to differentiate between a pull-able delivery and a bouncer that is best left alone, focusing on shot selection and safety.

A stable head is the foundation of good batting. This comparison shows how a still, level head improves balance and judgment, compared to a tilted position that hinders it.

Adapting your footwork is key. This video demonstrates the difference in stride length when facing a spinner versus a pacer, allowing for better timing and positioning.

What should a fast bowler do when the ball stops swinging? Coach Parvinder Awana explains how to use the crease to create angles and deceive the batsman.

Indian cricketer Parvinder Awana shares his advice on fitness for fast bowlers, emphasizing the importance of ground training for endurance and using the gym for recovery.

About Master the Technique: Pro-Tips from Our Coaches

Our coaching approach is focused on breaking down complex movements into small, repeatable steps. When you watch these videos, you will see the exact technique checks our mentors use, like bending the front knee for power in a drive or focusing on spot bowling for accuracy. It is about building muscle memory, one session at a time, ensuring you understand not just how to play a shot, but why the technique works for your specific build and style.

Batting: Precision and Power

Great batting isn't about hitting the ball as hard as you can. It is about timing and balance.

  • The Cover Drive: Notice the front knee in our drills. A bent knee allows you to transfer your weight forward, giving you more control to keep the shot on the ground.
  • Front Foot Defense: The key here is head position. Keeping your head over the ball ensures your eyes are level, making it easier to judge the line and length of the delivery.
  • Short Ball Selection: Not every short ball needs to be hooked. We teach our students when to pull and when to leave the ball to stay safe, especially when the delivery is above head height.

Bowling: Accuracy and Rhythm

Whether you are a spinner or a pacer, your rhythm is your best friend.

  • Spot Bowling: Accuracy is built through repetition. By using markers on the pitch, we help you develop the muscle memory needed to hit your length consistently, regardless of the match situation.
  • The Follow-Through: Avoid running on the 'danger area' of the pitch. Our coaches emphasize the importance of following through to the side of the wicket to protect the pitch and maintain balance.
  • Using the Crease: As former pro cricketers often teach at our academy, when the ball stops swinging, changing your angle by using the width of the crease can create new challenges for the batsman.

Training Philosophy

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you are training in our Hauz Khas nets or practicing at our other Delhi NCR locations, the goal remains the same: mastering the basics so that when you face that 'last over, pressure is on' moment, your training takes over.
