About Strive & Shine Premier League (SSPL)
Nets training is only half the battle. In the SSPL, we replicate high-pressure match conditions—right down to team auctions and field placements—so you learn to bowl with a clear head under game-day heat. It’s where your technique faces the reality of a batsman who actually wants to take you down.
Why We Created the SSPL
Most academies stop at the nets. I built the Strive & Shine Premier League (SSPL) because practice is not the same as performance. You can bowl perfect deliveries in isolation, but can you execute that same plan when your team is defending 12 runs in the final over?
The Format
This is a full competitive ecosystem. We hold team auctions, draft players, and run league stages that culminate in finals. It is designed to force you out of your comfort zone:
- Match Simulation: Unlike casual practice, these games count. You will bowl under pressure to understand how to build dot-ball pressure and take wickets in crunch moments.
- Tactical Awareness: We use whiteboard sessions before matches to set plans. You learn how to read the pitch and the batsman’s movement, then yochane maadi maadu (think and do it) in the middle.
- Fielding & Mental Toughness: You learn to stay sharp even when you aren't the one bowling. Fielding off your own bowling and maintaining composure after being hit for a boundary are skills we test here.
Who This Is For
This is for the serious cricketer who wants to bridge the gap between 'net talent' and 'match player.' Whether you are a state-level prospect or training to dominate your zonal leagues, the SSPL provides the platform to refine your craft where it matters most. We play on green astro-turf for consistent turn, as well as open dirt and grass nets to simulate real-world variance in Bengaluru's local grounds.
