About My Journey as an Artist
Developing a signature style is not about one sudden breakthrough, but the thousands of hours spent layering paint and refining lines. Whether I am preparing for a gallery show or a custom portrait, I treat every project as a chance to document my process and learn something new about my medium.
Looking back at my work from the last few years, the shift from pencil sketches to complex acrylic portraits has been quite a ride. My debut exhibition at the Nehru Centre in Mumbai was a turning point. It forced me to move beyond creating for myself and start considering how a viewer experiences a piece of art in a gallery space.
Documenting the Evolution
I often share my 'Art vs. Artist' updates because I believe in being transparent about the effort involved. When you look at my 2022 and 2023 collections, you will see how my use of mediums like ballpoint pens and acrylics has evolved. That transition was not just about changing tools; it was about understanding how different surfaces—like Brustro paper versus stretched canvas—change the way ink or paint sits on the page.
A Collaborative Process
Many of the milestones in this collection started as simple commission requests. Taking on subjects like pet portraits or fan art requires a specific kind of patience, especially when aiming for hyper-realism. When I work on a commission, I prefer to keep you in the loop, sharing visual updates so you can see the layering process unfold. This way, the final artwork feels as much like yours as it does mine.
If you see a style here that resonates with your vision, let's talk. I ship my work securely across India, and I am always looking forward to the next challenge.
