Stop drilling static moves that fail in live sparring. We integrate wrestling concepts specifically for BJJ and MMA, focusing on kuzushi and real-time reaction.

Here are three wrestling games we use to develop real skills. We start with over-unders and progress to using foot sweeps and trips, all against a live, resisting partner.

A look at a private training session. I believe in working physically with my students, providing real-time resistance so they can learn how every action has a reaction.

Getting stuck in a bad spot is part of the game. Accepting the situation is an option, but wrestling up is always a better one. We teach you how to fight to get back to your feet.

These are some of our hand-fighting and wrestle-up games. The fight for dominant grips and posture is often undervalued but is key to setting up your takedowns or guard.

A glimpse into our "Wrestle Jitsu" session. We blend wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu seamlessly, creating scrambles and transitions that are common in modern grappling.

Takedowns become much easier when you focus on "kuzushi," or off-balancing your opponent. Instead of drilling moves, we learn the concept of breaking balance.

About Wrestling for Grappling: Takedowns & Control

Takedowns don't work when you treat them like a choreographed dance. My sessions focus on live 'games' where we use hand-fighting and clinch work to actually off-balance opponents. You aren't learning a sequence, you're learning how to find a finish from any scramble.
