Birth is transformative, and my work is built on continuous learning and a commitment to the families I support. Here is a look at the training, community, and experiences that shape my practice.

Being a doula is my Ikigai, the intersection of my passion, skills, and what the world needs. I am grateful for this work and the community that supports me, especially during World Doula Week.

It was a dream come true to learn from the legendary Mexican midwife Naoli Vinaver. This workshop on Rebozo skills enriched my practice with simple, effective techniques to help with labor progress and fetal positioning.

A glimpse into my training on Rebozo techniques for challenging births with Naoli Vinaver. Continuous learning is essential to my practice, ensuring I have a wide range of tools to support you.

I am now a certified Active Mama prenatal fitness trainer. This training added more tools to my kit, including dance, cardio, labor drills, and breath work to help you prepare your body for birth.

I was honored to be invited to train the nursing staff at a family run nursing home in Rajamundry. Sharing my labor support skills with other care providers helps create ripples of change for better births.

I was honored to be featured on the Evidence Based Birth podcast to discuss culturally sensitive doula training in India. It's vital that we adapt our support to the unique needs of the families we serve.

Attending the Better Birthing Experience conference in Hyderabad was a joy. Connecting with maternity care givers, colleagues, and mentors from across the country fills me with hope and energy for this work.

About this collection

My work goes beyond simply being present at a birth. I invest heavily in ongoing training—like mastering Rebozo techniques from Naoli Vinaver or becoming an Active Mama prenatal fitness trainer—to ensure I have the right tools to physically support you. This constant skill-building allows me to offer practical, hands-on relief during labor that makes a tangible difference in your comfort and progress.

Being a doula is my Ikigai. It is the intersection of what I love and what the world needs—gentle, informed support for birthing families. My practice is not solitary; it is anchored in a vibrant sisterhood called The Doula Collective. We meet regularly, not just to network, but to debrief, share knowledge, and navigate the challenges of working within the maternity care system in India.

This community connection translates directly into better care for you. When we share birth stories and discuss our experiences with different doctors and hospitals, we gain collective wisdom. It helps us understand which strategies work and how to better advocate for your preferences.

Beyond community, I am a firm believer in the importance of physical technique. Whether it is learning Rebozo skills to assist with fetal positioning or dance-based breath work through my Active Mama certification, these are not just credentials. They are real, non-medical tools I bring to your bedside to help you manage labor, find positions that offer relief, and stay active. By staying updated with global, evidence-based practices, I ensure that my support is always grounded in the latest research while remaining deeply personal and compassionate.
