Our art is a 'vasihat' (bequest) passed down to us. This collection honors that legacy through our 'Shraddhanjali' events, collaborative programs, and classical performances dedicated to the masters of Indian dance.

Smt. Ruby Mishra announcing the program for 'Yugal Shraddhanjali,' a heartfelt tribute to Pt. Birju Maharaj and Smt. Annapurna Devi, featuring performances, scholarships, and guest artists.

A thank you note from Smt. Ruby Mishra after the successful 'Yugal Shraddhanjali' 2025. These events are a collective effort of our family, students, and the artistic community.

The audience's view of a sarod performance during our 'Shraddhanjali' event. We curate evenings that bring together various forms of classical arts: 'gayan, vadan, aur nritya' (vocal, instrumental, and dance).

Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj performing the Guru Purnima puja, paying respects to the lineage of Gurus whose portraits adorn our walls. This is a sacred day where we honor our teachers and our tradition.

A short film capturing the sacred moments of our Guru Purnima puja. The blessings of the Guru are the light that guides every shishya on their artistic path.

The third day of a workshop, where we were joined by artists from the Banaras Gharana. We believe in fostering a dialogue between different traditions of Kathak.

A moment from the 'Shraddhanjali' for Smt. Annapurna Devi, where a scholarship is awarded to a deserving student. This is our way of nurturing talent and honoring her memory.

Smt. Ruby Mishra addressing the students and parents, thanking them for their support. A strong community is essential for any Guru to realize their artistic vision.

About Tributes & Legacy Events

We do not simply produce shows; we curate 'baithaks' (gatherings) that bridge the gap between memory and art. Whether it is the annual Yugal Shraddhanjali or intimate Guru Purnima pujas, these events prioritize the purity of 'gayan, vadan, aur nritya' (vocal, instrumental, and dance) over commercial flash. If you are looking to host a tribute or cultural evening that respects the authentic Lucknow Gharana aesthetic, we invite you to discuss your vision with us.

Honouring the Legacy

For us, the 'Shraddhanjali' is not a mere event—it is a sacred dialogue with the past. We approach these tribute programs with the same discipline we apply to our daily 'riyaaz' (practice). We believe that to truly honor a master, one must present their art form with absolute integrity, ensuring that the specific nuances of the Lucknow Gharana remain intact.

What We Curate

We design legacy events that go beyond the stage, creating an immersive experience for the audience:

  • Conceptual Tributes: We combine live classical music—Sarod, Tabla, and Vocals—with Kathak to present a complete artistic tapestry.
  • Scholarship Presentations: As seen in our 'Yugal Shraddhanjali', we integrate the recognition of upcoming talent (scholarships) into our tribute performances, ensuring the lineage continues.
  • Intimate Baithaks: We are equally comfortable in large auditoriums like Triveni Kala Sangam or intimate, private settings, adjusting the 'bhaav' (expression) and scale accordingly.

Our Philosophy

We handle every detail from concept to 'manch' (stage). When we perform a tribute, we are not just presenting choreography; we are reciting the 'padhant' (rhythmic recitation) of our ancestors. These events are intended for connoisseurs and institutions who seek to preserve the 'tehzeeb' (culture/etiquette) of classical dance. We do not offer shortcuts; we offer a connection to the roots of Indian classical music and dance.
