About Bandaje Arbi Falls: Meadows & Waterfalls
This is a moderate-to-difficult trek, so be ready for a long hike through open grasslands that can get quite slippery if it is monsoon season. We handle all the forest permits and the essential 4x4 jeep rides from the homestay to the trek base, so you just need to focus on your stamina and bringing a solid pair of waterproof trekking shoes.
Bandaje Arbi is one of our absolute favourites because it changes character so quickly. You start with the thick forest cover around Sunkshale, then suddenly break out into the massive, sweeping meadows that make this region famous.
The Trail Experience
The trek leads you to the edge of the Ballarayanadurga Fort ruins before you hit the main waterfall viewpoint. The 200-foot drop is massive, and seeing the water cascade down into the green valley is the main reward for the climb. We try to time our batches so you get the best of the mist—it feels like walking in the clouds, but it also means the trail can get muddy. That is why we emphasize carrying full-sleeved clothes and good grip footwear.
Why Trek With Us?
We know this region inside out. We do not just show up; we coordinate the forest department permits, manage the local jeep logistics, and have trek leads who know the paths. Most importantly, we are about the BT Family vibe. Whether you are coming solo or with a group, the bus ride and the campfire are where the real connections happen.
Plan Your Trip
- Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult (requires decent fitness).
- Base Camp: We operate from the Sunkshale base.
- Inclusions: We take care of your transport from Bengaluru (Indiranagar, Marathahalli, HSR, Silk Board), forest entry fees, local guide charges, and simple vegetarian meals.
Check your schedule, grab your backpack, and let’s head out. Banni, let's go!
