Postpartum Mental Wellness Support
Motherhood is a rollercoaster, and you don’t have to ride it alone. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just need to be heard, our community is here for you without judgment.
It is always okay to ask for help. This simple graphic serves as a reminder that you don't have to fight your battles alone. If you are a new mom struggling with your mental health, we are here to talk.
This informational video explains how improving access to quality healthcare, including postnatal care and mental health support, is crucial for reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rates. Your well being matters.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after birth is real, but it often goes unaddressed due to stigma. We encourage women to break the silence, speak about their traumatic experiences, and seek the help they deserve.
This is a duplicate of our animated guide explaining the symptoms of Postpartum Depression (PPD). We share this information widely because recognizing the signs is the first step toward getting help.
Another version of our PPD awareness video. We want to normalize the conversation around postpartum mental health and ensure every mother knows that seeking help from a healthcare provider is a sign of strength.
About Your Postpartum Mental Wellness
We offer private, 60-minute mental health counseling sessions, conducted online or at our Shanti Nagar center. You can speak with us in English, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, or Hindi—whichever language makes you feel most comfortable sharing your story.
The postpartum period isn't just about physical recovery; it is a massive emotional transition. We know that feelings of sadness, anxiety, or trauma are often stigmatized, and mothers frequently worry about being judged or heard saying, 'log kya kahenge' (what will people say). Our sessions provide a strictly confidential, non-judgmental space to break that silence.
What Our Sessions Cover
- Trauma Debriefing: If your birth experience didn't go as planned or left you feeling distressed, we are here to listen and help you process those events.
- Recovery Planning: We help you navigate the practical and emotional adjustments of the first few months, focusing on your mental well-being alongside newborn care.
- Accessible Support: Whether you prefer a telephonic conversation or a video call, our counseling is designed to fit into the unpredictable schedule of a new parent.
We believe that reaching out for help is a sign of strength. Our network of counselors, doctors, and fellow parents is here to walk this journey with you. You don't have to carry the weight of new parenthood by yourself. If you are struggling, please reach out to us—we are ready to listen.
