Capturing a baby and a pet together is unpredictable work. I do not rely on forced poses. Instead, I plan sessions around your pet’s comfort level and the baby’s nap schedule, using treats and patience to catch those rare, genuine interactions.
Pets are as much a part of your family as anyone else. Bringing a dog to a studio or outdoor shoot changes the dynamic entirely, moving from stiff portraiture to genuine lifestyle photography. In my six years of experience in Bangalore, I have learned that the best photos with pets happen when we stop trying to control the frame and start following the energy of the room.

My studio in HSR Layout is set up to handle this level of activity. Whether you are looking for a studio-based newborn and dog photoshoot or a relaxed outdoor session, the approach remains the same. We prioritize safety above everything. This means building in extra time for pets to sniff around and get comfortable with the lighting and the props.
Choosing the Right Session
For families including pets, I recommend the Creative Studio or Outdoor Lifestyle Session. This tier is designed to be flexible, allowing for up to 2.5 hours of shooting time. This duration is critical because it gives the baby space for feeding and napping, and gives the pet time to settle down. This package includes 20 edited, high-resolution images. If you are planning a larger family gathering with grandparents and multiple pets, the Heirloom Hybrid Package provides the time and space required to manage a larger group effectively.
Practical Tips for Your Shoot
If you are worried about your dog being too energetic, do not be. Some of my favorite images are the 'messy' ones where a pet is curious about the baby or interacting with the parents. We do not need perfect obedience; we need personality. I recommend bringing along your pet’s favorite treats or a familiar toy to keep them engaged. During the consultation call, we can discuss the temperament of your pet and plan the setup accordingly, ensuring a stress-free experience for everyone involved.
