Working with pets requires more than a good eye, it needs a lot of patience and a stash of treats. I plan these sessions around your pet's energy level, letting them play and wander rather than forcing them into stiff poses. Whether it is a golden hour run in a local park or a relaxed studio session, I prioritize giving them space to be themselves so the photos capture your actual life, not just a forced smile.
I know that a nervous pet or an over-excited puppy can be unpredictable. That is exactly why I structure my sessions to move at their pace. If we are shooting outdoors in places like Yelahanka or nearby parks, we start with some playtime to let them get comfortable with the surroundings and my camera.
For indoor sessions, I maintain a calm, quiet environment, which is perfect for pets who might get stressed by loud noises or bright studio lights. I always suggest bringing their favorite toy or treats, which act as a great incentive for them to look towards the lens.
My goal is not the perfect, formal portrait where everyone is sitting still. It is the real-life family dynamic.
