Taking photos in your own space, like your living room or a nearby garden, is key when involving pets. They are on their home turf, which means they are calmer and more relaxed. My studio-on-the-go equipment is designed for this; I bring the lighting to you, so we don't have to stress about traveling to a formal studio or finding a pet-friendly park that allows professional equipment.

Practical Tips for a Pet-Friendly Shoot

• Snacks are Currency: Have a stash of treats they absolutely love. We will use them to grab their attention, but also as a reward for being part of the team.
• Embrace the Chaos: Don't worry if your dog won't look at the lens. Some of the most beautiful images I have captured are of a child leaning on their dog while the pet is looking elsewhere. It feels natural and lived-in.
• The Patience Buffer: I always build extra time into these sessions. If your pet needs a water break, a potty break, or just five minutes to sniff around and get comfortable with me being there, we take it.
