Authentic Thuppangadi Biriyani & Coastal Ghee Recipes
Behind every meal from our kitchen is a story from 1890. We source authentic coastal ghee and hand-pack each order with a personal note just for you.
Freshness is essential for authentic flavor. I use freshly chopped vegetables like onions, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, and cilantro for the salad and raita that accompany every biriyani order, ensuring a crisp and clean taste.
I love hearing from you all. This note from a customer who was won over by my biriyani really made my day. It is these personal connections and conversations that make sharing my family's food so rewarding.
About From My Kitchen to Yours
When you open one of our meal trays, you will not find everything mixed together in a soggy mess. We use 5-compartment packaging to keep the salad crisp, the salan separate, and the short-grain rice textured just right. It is a small detail, but we believe you deserve your meal exactly as we intended it to be served.
The kitchen is where my grandfather’s history lives. Whether it is our Thuppangadi Biriyani or our kebabs, everything centers on the philosophy of keeping it real. That means I personally travel to source the coastal ghee (thuppa) that gives our dishes that distinct, sharp aroma, and we never rely on mass-produced shortcuts or pre-made spice mixes.
Our Recipe Philosophy
We avoid the standard shortcuts. Our biriyani uses short-grain rice cooked in green masala and coastal ghee, creating a flavour profile that stands out from typical biriyani. The heat comes from actual green chilies and black pepper, staying true to how these dishes were prepared in the pre-1947 era.
Why the Handwritten Note?
I write a note for every order because this is not just a transaction for us. We want you to know who cooked your food and why it matters. It is a way of connecting you to the story behind the recipes, from the Kundapuri spice mixes to the family tradition that keeps our kitchen running.
Packaging and Delivery
We understand that food quality drops if the components sit together for too long. By using separate compartments for the salad, raita, and main dish, we ensure that you get a crisp, fresh experience every time you order in Bengaluru.
