Specialized Interior Spaces and Bespoke Room Designs
We design rooms that do more than just look good. From Japandi-inspired lounges to functional home bars, we create specialized spaces that solve problems and enhance your daily rhythm.
A seamless blend of soft pastels and marble finishes. This L-shaped kitchen design maximizes counter space and storage while maintaining a bright and airy feel, thanks to the large windows.
We design lounges that invite you to stay. This Japandi-inspired space uses curved sofas, a neutral palette, and a stunning layered chandelier to create an atmosphere of calm and quiet elegance.
A corner of the Japandi lounge, showing the L-shaped sofa, textured gray walls, and a minimalist floor lamp. The layout and flow are designed for comfort.
Lighting and mood are crucial. Here, sculptural chairs and a unique floor lamp create an artistic and inviting corner.
We focused on spatial breathing in this lounge, using low seating and ample circulation space to keep the room intimate yet open.
The material palette includes soft bouclé fabrics, warm woods, and a patterned rug, all chosen to soothe, not shout.
Neutrals, textures, and tactile comfort are the cornerstones of this design. Every element is chosen to create a harmonious and calming environment.
Another example of Japandi design, this living area features a mix of natural materials, clean lines, and a neutral color palette to create a tranquil and inviting space.
The TV wall in the Japandi room includes a floating console with an integrated modern fireplace, set against a textured stone-like finish.
A well-designed home bar is a conversation space. This one features a textured bar counter, comfortable stools, and an arched, backlit display for bottles.
About Specialized Interior Spaces
We don’t believe in 'filler' rooms that look nice but sit empty. Whether it is a kitchen layout that prioritizes workflow over just marble aesthetics, or an indoor courtyard with a retractable roof to bring the outdoors in, our specialized designs are built around how you actually use your home. Before we finalize any plan, we look at the site's light and ventilation—essential for features like our courtyards—to ensure the space stays comfortable and functional all year round in the Delhi NCR climate.
Architecture That Works for You
When we take on a project, we look for the 'Why' behind every room. A home bar shouldn't just be a cabinet for bottles; it should be a conversation space that flows seamlessly into your living area. A lounge isn't just about a sofa; it’s about 'spatial breathing'—using low-profile furniture and neutral palettes to create a sense of calm after a long day.
The Japandi Approach
Our specialized interiors often lean into the Japandi aesthetic, which we find perfect for modern Indian homes. By mixing the functionality of Scandinavian design with the minimalist warmth of Japanese style, we create spaces that feel lived-in, not staged. We use tactile materials like raw stone, warm woods, and soft bouclé fabrics to create a sensory experience that feels natural.
Technical Precision in Design
Design is a dialogue between light, material, and proportion. This is why we are particularly passionate about complex architectural features like internal courtyards. Building these in a dense urban environment requires careful structural planning. From installing retractable roofs that let you control natural light to using raw stone treatments that evoke an outdoor feeling inside, we ensure these features are structurally sound and visually cohesive.
Our Process
Whether you are looking to carve out a home office, build a bar, or transform a dead corner into a courtyard, our process remains the same:
- Site Analysis: We study the sun path and ventilation to determine where specialized spaces will thrive.
- Material Selection: We focus on textures that soothe rather than shout—think fluted wood panels, stone inlay, and matte finishes.
- Functional Layouts: Every design must be ergonomic. If it’s a kitchen, we ensure the golden triangle of work is strictly followed. If it’s a lounge, we ensure the seating promotes conversation.
We design for presence, not just appearance. If you want a home that functions as well as it looks, let's talk about the potential in your floor plan.
Axiom Design Studio
We are Aishwarya and Kunal. We founded Axiom to move beyond just 'good looking' interiors and actually fix the pain points in your home. When we design a bar or a courtyard, we are not just picking materials—we are planning how you will move and feel in that space every day.
