It's always a privilege to have Joseph lead our Carnatic sessions for the early learners. Even the parents who sit in are captivated by his engaging teaching style.
Our 3 and 4-year-olds completely absorbed in their Saturday Early Learners session. We use traditional methods to introduce them to the basics of Indian classical music in a fun way.

About Early Learners Program: Music for the Little Ones
We skip the rigid theory at this age. Instead, we use rhythm sticks, tambourines, and movement-based games to teach pitch and timing. Whether it is learning to sing a simple Carnatic bhajan or just practicing alternating notes, we focus on making the experience fun and interactive rather than academic.
Our Early Learners Program is designed specifically for children aged 3 to 5. We understand that at this age, music is about exploration and discovery rather than exams or formal training.
What the sessions look like:
- Rhythm & Movement: We use activities like musical chairs and percussion play with shakers and sticks to develop a natural sense of timing and listening skills.
- Vocal Foundation: We introduce children to pitch and melody through nursery rhymes and simplified Indian classical music concepts like Carnatic vocals. We use storytelling and hand gestures to make complex musical ideas easy to grasp.
- Instrument Discovery: While the focus is on singing and rhythm, we provide a safe, guided introduction to guitars, ukuleles, and keys. It is all about letting them touch, hear, and experiment.
The AMP Approach: We keep our batches small to ensure every child gets individual attention and feels comfortable. Whether your child is naturally outgoing or a bit shy, our studio in Rustam Bagh offers a low-pressure environment where they can build confidence. Parents are welcome to watch, and we love seeing the surprise on their faces when their little ones start humming tunes or keeping a beat on their own. Our goal is to plant the seed for a lifelong love of music.
