Celebrating Our Students' First Music Performances
Watching a student go from a shy beginner to a confident performer is our favorite part of teaching. These showcases are the milestones where music truly comes alive for them.
Here are Rudransh and Harsh in their very first performance of 'Faded'. It's so rewarding to see students collaborate on piano and drums after just a few weeks of camp.
I was so proud of Leela during her first ever performance of 'You are My Sunshine'. She focused so well and played the keyboard beautifully, a true milestone for a beginner musician.
This is Dhwani taking the stage for the first time. Overcoming stage fright is a huge step, and she did it with such grace. This is a core part of our beginner music performance camp.
Zerin bravely took the stage for her debut, handling both vocals and piano. It's a big challenge, and she did an amazing job, showing how much she has grown.
A big round of applause for first-time performer Akshara on vocals, supported by Sanvi on the drums. They brought so much energy to their performance of 'Roar'.
Little Kiara at the microphone for the very first time, singing alongside her big sister Samara. It's moments like these, full of sibling support and courage, that make our camp special.
Our online students Johann and Neil traveled to join us for their very first live performance. It was a fantastic effort, and I'm so grateful to our accompanists for supporting them.
About this collection
The biggest misconception about our showcases is that they are intimidating. They are not. We keep these sessions intimate and low-pressure, held right here at our Rustam Bagh studio. We focus on the 'I did it' feeling rather than hitting every note perfectly. Most of our students start as hesitant beginners and finish by playing songs they love, often accompanied by our teachers on guitar or drums to help them feel secure and supported on stage.
Performing is about courage, not perfection. In our beginner music camps, we treat every performance as a milestone. Before students ever step onto our stage, we work on comfort and preparation.
We limit our batches to 3-5 students so that everyone knows their peers well before the big day. When it is time for the final showcase, teachers are right there alongside them, backing them up on piano, guitar, or drums. This setup reduces stage fright and ensures students can focus entirely on the joy of music.
Our studio in Rustam Bagh is equipped with professional gear like Shure microphones and Marshall amplifiers, giving students a real taste of what it feels like to play through a proper sound system. We see performances as a celebration of the work done in our lessons, whether it is a child’s first attempt at a guitar strum or a teenager mastering their first solo. Parents are encouraged to be a part of these moments, and it is common to see lots of cheering, smiles, and perhaps a few happy tears. It is not about the credentials or the exam scores, but the pride on a student's face when they realize they can do something they thought was impossible just a few weeks prior.
August Music Productions
We are August Music Productions, but our students just call us AMP. We started this community in Rustam Bagh because we love seeing people go from hesitant beginners to confident performers. Whether it is a 6-year-old on the ukulele or a teenager playing their first guitar solo, we are here to celebrate those small wins.
