My Process
Oil Portraits on Canvas For these, I prefer high-resolution photos that show your pet's eyes clearly. I work in layers, building up the texture and depth that only oils can provide. Whether it is a memorial piece or a tribute to a pet still with us, I take my time to get the atmosphere right. These usually take 2 to 3 weeks to complete, as the paint needs time to cure properly before it is ready for you.
Hand-Painted Accessories This is where I get to be a bit playful. I have painted pets on everything from Louis Vuitton cardholders to everyday items. I use high-quality acrylics designed for leather and canvas. Once the painting is done, I apply a double coat of varnish. This makes the art durable enough for your daily bag or wallet.
What You Need to Know
- Photos: The better the photo, the better the painting. Send me a few options if you are not sure which one captures them best.
- Updates: For larger canvas pieces, I send 1 to 2 work-in-progress updates. This helps us ensure we are on the same page regarding the expression and style.
- Shipping: Canvas art is packed with bubble wrap and cardboard reinforcement for safety. If you order a large statement piece, it may be shipped rolled in a tube to keep costs down and prevent damage during transit.
